Buddy bro northeast chat thread.
Made another trip to Rochester this weekend, yet another successful 600 miles weekend. Also went to Kyle's car show this morning and somehow managed to take home Best in show.
Congrats on the best in show and a successful trip. I saw the Equips on his car and they look right at home. Glad to hear his car is running well and yours is fighting hard to stay in your car even knowing one is being built
I ended up finding that his evap purge canister was cracked. That was his big issue but thats fixed now and tuning can continue.
Advanced auto wanted like $120 for the little canister. Luckily I have an account with them that brought it down to 70

$120 for the canister isn't that bad, I have one hanging in my shed I was going to throw it in the trash yesterday but I guess ill hang onto it...
How in the world did it crack?

Unless you buy a Kinetix manifold new, it will not come with the mounting bracket for that canister like the OEM plenum has. So most people just move that canister to the back and that can pinch it a little and the plastic will end up breaking off into the vacuum line. And that's exactly what happened

Ill be interested to see how you like them... I would think just one of them would stiffen the rear end up a lot... I thought just the whitelines made a world of difference.
Go fast parts are fun. I still need to get around to doing all my bushings and may do the brace as well. My wheel hop was pretty bad before the Vortech, but now I just spin with the OEM wheels.
Now that I'm working and the car is running, I'm getting impatient for my wheels.... 15 weeks into the wait

I was going to get the Injected Performance brace (just 1 brace), but I heard mixed reviews about the fitment so I figured Id just get both braces. The sound performance option seems less common so it may not fit well but Ill be happier knowing the bracing is equivalent on both sides of the diff.
And 15 weeks is absurd!
First thing I did to fight wheel hop was the whittling bushing. Helped a lot but didn't eliminate it. I never got traction bars but thought about it at one point. These braces should eliminate any hop I have. If I somehow still have it I will probably pick up some SPL traction bars.

I don't spin my tires much with my pathetic stock hp... But I have 0 wheel hop... Got whiteline differential bushings and subframe bushings also... It stiffened things up nicely... Only downside I noticed is the noise in the car especially when in gear and slowing down is obviously different.
My friend Devin is at 19 weeks on his wait....so fingers crossed I have them before the white stuff falls on the ground lol
And yeah I need to get around to doing Whitelines all around at some point, but bushings suck to do so I'm avoiding it like the plague haha
