Default Everett 350Z AutoX Practice Day.

I hope you guys and gal had a good time this past Saturday. I'm sorry I didn't have spent more time w/ you guys since I was constantly swapping out tires. I really wanted to see what types of setups you guys were running, so I guess I'll just have to wait until next time.

Video should be out soon. I'll post the link to it on this thread. If you guys want any particular clips from it, lemme know, there's about 40 minutes of misc video.

Sweet. Can't wait to see it. I had a blast, and although that was my first autoX I can definitely say it won't be my last.

Is there anyway you can make a shorter video with just the Z's running??? I can't imagine how long 40mins will take to download.

I'll post some pics I snapped from the event.

Nice pics. I especially like the pics of the 3 Sunset Lemans cars side by side in the pits. I felt kinda left out being the only one not having a Z in that color.

Drivesolo,

Thanks for putting this all together. I had a great time and I think we have a few more Z owners interested in this type of activity now. Your work on that video watered my eyes. Thanks again.

That really was a lot of fun -- and terribly addicting. When's the next one?

The next practice day will probably be sometime next month. I'll give about 2 weeks prior notice. We'll get Lateapex out there and maybe a couple more 350Z's. Maybe next practice day we could set up a couple of really wide corners and do some "skillz practice" (i.e.: the off-the-record name for drifting practice), or break up into teams in the PM session and run for the best cumulative team time, just some friendly competition. Lots of possibilities.

This last event was a little rushed cuz I had forgotten the waiver forms, we had a tire scrubbing session and we had to wrap up early to allow the Chuckanaut guys to get setup for their event the following day. We should have more time for more runs at the next practice day.

I recently attended the auto-x event held by bscc and it was a blast. You guys should join up and register for the 2nd event next month!

what other car clubs exist that hold auto-x events??

Lots of car clubs hold autoX events. WWSCC is made up entirely of car clubs that hold autox events, 7 clubs; 4 Slush Events and 9 Championship Events. BEAC is one of the clubs but is a little different, since BEAC has exclusive permission to specific Boeing lots, as allowed by The Boeing Company, they have the opportunity to have quite a few practice days during the year.

FYI: I'm going to request a practice day for next month. Possible dates are as follows (all practices are held on Saturdays):

4/16
4/23 (best likely hood for avalibility)

Anyone have any prefference?

Yep, BA Cutler, Lateapex and I are active BEAC members. We'd probably do what we did last time where we would coordinate w/ the local 350Z folks to see who would be interested in joining us for a practice day.

I think this time around to avoid any confusion, I'll get the date verified before seeing who's up for it. As of now looks like the April 23rd is gonna be the date, but it's not confirmed yet.
