Default Moving to Seattle, how are the winter driving conditions?

Looks like I may be moving from Upstate NY to Seattle, so I am trying to get a sense of the winter driving conditions. I have searched some of the forums to find some information, but basically I am just trying to find out if normal winter driving conditions in Seattle are suitable for driving my Z as a daily driver. Since I am from upstate NY, I also have an SUV which I drive in the winter here, but I am hoping to not have to drag that to Seattle as well. Since I just got my Z in May, I have not yet experienced icy or snowy conditions at all. What are the typical weather conditions of a normal Seattle winter, and how does the Z handle in those conditions?

Thanks

Pretty much if Seattle gets snow, the town pretty much shuts down.

If you're used to driving in any snow at all, you're miles ahead of most western WA drivers (I'm originally from the east side of the state -- we get snow there).

If the Z on winter or all-season tires is anything like my Solo II-prepared SpecV, then it should be a *LOT* of fun!

Seattle only gets snow every other year it seems. Most of the time if it snows it doesn't even stick. However, when it does, most drivers end up on the side of the road.

it snows some times, but when it does, its only like a day or two out of the year, most of the winter weather is rain. if you can bring the suv I would just to have it as a backup but other than that its not realy nessesary. I have a subi back up myself but i like to go up snowboarding and such.

I use to live in NYC and I use to go up-state during the winter time sometimes. No worries dude, Seattle sees nothing in comparision to what you're accustomed to. Never has and I don't think it ever will. You're already better than 99% of the drivers here when it comes to driving in the snow. Plus, they don't salt the roads here (there's no need too since it rarely ever snows) so your Z will appreciate that too.

Like they said, if it snows, it's usually not that bad and only sticks for a day or two. I think you'd be ok w/the Z for the most part.

Yeah, around here, snow days == play days. Toyo's do pretty well in the rain, but that's it for adverse weather.
