A Few PIR Vids From Tuesday's Lotus day
My friend was nice enough to capture a few laps so I thought I'd share to get everyone excited for this season's HPDE schedule at PIR.
Here is what he wrote me...(he is the blue lotus)
"The yellow Lotus (buddy that was filming me in the first video) that passed me had a 275 Forcedfed Turbo in it and the S2000 had a 300+ turbo along with the Lotus Exige S supercharged. I was a little out classed yesterday. I did however pass the Lexus IS300, yeeeeha."

I'd love to do a track day at PIR or one of the Washington tracks... Is there a central spot for easily figuring out which car clubs have HPDE days at which tracks? The calendars on the official track sites are always lacking.
The groups I've gone to track days with (TEAM Racing and Trackmasters) are out of Northern California, so that's not much help.

does anyone already have plans to attend a track day this summer...I can probably only do 1 event, so I'm waiting until I know it'll be sunny; it's be great to get a solid group of Z/G's out there.

J/K - it'd be great to run w/ some high powa Z/G's.

The great thing about PIR is that power does not necessarily pay huge dividends due to the nature of the course...this is especially true if we go on a day when the chicane is setup...
skidmarq, I also went with cascades sports car club last year....
Have you gone to PIR this year already? Or any day already planned?
My brakes and tires are all ready, now just finished my self-made camera mount... and then I guess I am just debating of how much I should risk rain or wait a little longer...
Would be nice to meet some Zs out there...
However, meeting boosted Zs, I will have to worry about getting bitten by the FI bug and then spending even more amounts of money...
I guess with too much power and less handling/skill one has to worry about crashing even at PIR. Last year at one of the Porsche days, a viper crashed pretty badly into the concrete on the straightaway (exiting the last turn and instead of unwinding, applying power too soon and turning in more for passing on the right... and bam, 180 backend into inner concrete divider, hospital, health of guy luckily all OK, health of car don't remember, possibly frame damage)

Hey Pedro! No, unfortunately it might be a few months before I get an opportunity to get out to the track. Currently, my car is in the process of being built by SVRT. Assuming all goes well, I will be headed down to GTM on the 28th to get my final tune and install my FCON Pro, etc. The only thing I need before I can head back out there are tires at this point. Looking at obtaining a pair of Nitto NT01s for track only.
Assuming everything goes as scheduled I would like to make my first track day in June/July timeframe. I think it would be really fun to head out there together with Cascade since I know we talked about it in "passing' over in the Autocross threads
Probably a good idea to organize these things in here since we probably will get the most interest...
