I just bought my car on saturday and have been enjoying driving it. The individual I bought the vehicle from didn't have a front license plate. And plus where the hell would you mount the license plate anyway? There is no way I am going to drill holes on the bumper in front of the grill. I guess my question I am getting at is have any of you been pulled over for it? Cuz I see most nice sports cars like Corvette owners do not have them either. Is it okay if I order a new plate and put it on the dash? Thanks

You will get the front liesence plate sooner or later.
I got 1 on my mustanga couple years ago. Brand new 07 Z just after I took off the dealer plates... I was going around a corner a motorcycle cop had somebody pulled over I slow down to about 10 and go around him, he hops on his bike pulls me over about 100ft down the road gives me a front plate ticket =)

IMO, just put the front plate on there; getting pulled over and having to go to court is more hassle than what it's worth. Plus, some cities, like Gladstone for example, don't have "fix-it" tickets.

I'm only kidding but I do make a good argument no?
That sucks though he went out of his way to do that

I was driving towards my fathers company and a motorcycle cop was on the otherside of the road and he looked right at my car and I was like "oh shet he is going to pull me over for not having the front one on." But surprisingly, he kept riding away

He still pulled me over and gave me a front plate violation =) I informed him I was waiting for my Zbracket to come in (which came in the next day) and did not want to drill holes in my new car.
Don't put it on. It'll make the car look like crap. Take a look around when driving. There's a ton of cars with only one plate. Check out the vettes, Mercedes Slk's, etc. None of them have one. I have not had a problem so far.
I got nailed for it too, on my way up 99W. The thing is cops like to use that sorta thing as an additional "gotcha". I was drafting a Subaru who was going 20 over and the bike cop gunned him but not me. He pulled us both over but couldn't pin the ticket on me. Unfortunately for me I didn't have the front plate and he at least got some revenge there. The thing is it's a "fix it" ticket which means you can fix it and get out of paying for it... But then you still have to pay the $30 "administration" fee cause they're going to get money from you either way.
