Default Visiting Whidbey Island this coming weekend

Hey you locals (you know who you are) is there anywhere good to eat in Whidbey? Or near there? I'll be coming up Friday night and staying till tuesday (vacation) and want to know the hookups on grub and things to do! Thanks in advance

Damn man, I gotta do Schuck's both days!! Just for a few hours each day tho, (Sat 4-9, Sun 9-2).. We shall have to kick it... I will show you my ghetto, government housing! We can also do some fishing on base, so bring gear if you have it.

There are a few good places depending on your taste. What type of food are you after? I know of a good Thai place, also Mexican, and a decent Asian buffet.

Stop by in Anacortes and have dinner at The Majestic one night. They have a great flank steak w/ cranberry chutney and a wasabi ginger sauce.

you don't need reservations. Just go in the bar. The dining area and menu is a bit of a ripoff, but the lounge has a special menu that's much easier on the pocketbook. The flank steak w/ either fries or salad will only set you back $11.

The Chuckanut Manor Sunday brunch is great. Check out Mt. Erie in Anacortes. Ride the ferry as a walk-on to Port Townsend or into the San Juan Islands.
Tell Us what town you are staying in an we can provide suggestions.

what the! I didnt realize this thread was created. Im on leave for a couple of days. As far as fooding there isnt much in the oak harbor area. Theres a few eaterys @ anacortes and burlington.

If you're a breakfast person, theres a little mom/pop diner called "franks place". Frank always hooks it up w/ the steak and eggs. Theres a tiny casino/bar called "bayside lounge". Also a nice greek/mexican restaurant on pioneer. You've probably gone through the deception pass bridge. Nice place to walk around if you havent done so.

Hit me up if you want to go do something while you're around.

EDIT: Drove by queen anne. Didn't think you were there.
