I'm dreading this. Pretty soon every highschool kid with a license will be able to afford one....

Regardless, the OP has brought up a point that has been pretty obvious the past year or so. The 03-04 Zs, regardless of mileage, are going pretty cheap these days. Most can be obtained from mid to high teens. The car is not as exclusive back when it first came out because of the 28-40k price tag. This is one of the reasons, out of many, that I got out of the Z. As the years go by, the demographic is only going to get younger and the Z cheaper. This is a natural life cycle of any car.

Yeah, this will be the trend w/ this car. But if you are owning this car for the sake of trying to be "exclusive", well.... now-a-days there are about as many Z33's out there as there are Camrys!

There are many salvaged titled Z's out there....MANY. And even more Z's that have been in some bad accidents and repaired. I wouldn't be surprised if these 3 feel into one of those categories.

The Z33 is an excellent platform. It holds huge potential for road course racing. Nothing out there can match it for it's combination of power and handling, reliablity and price for racing. In time this chassis will fall into the same category as the Datsun 510, 2000 roadster and the original 240Z. It may never technically become a classic, but it will be a chassis in demand.

our cars are going to get cheaper and cheaper, but there is nothing we can do about it. our cars are going to be more common and easier to afford, but thats how it is wit all cars, including wit bmw's, lexus etc...

^ good point. Insurance for the Z is not a cheap thing.

I guess there's always the option of getting just liability coverage though.

Last thing you want is 300hp in the hands of an 18 yr old. I know there are a handful who are responsible drivers, but I'm guessing the majority will total their Z's. And our insurance will skyrocket like the RSX, EVO, STI.
