It's an RB22DETT from a GTR in there. He got rid of the FC back in '05, co-drive w/ me in my S14 in '06 and is co-driving w/ Pete Eaton (owner of the S13) this year.

Nice! A straight-up battle between Triple8Sol and DrVolkl. Honda/Acura vs. Nissan/Infiniti. Any guesses on outcome?

Nice to hear. Better double check w/ the WWSCC and SCCA rules to make sure you stay in class w/ your mods.

what's your plans?? If you're concerned about being competetive in autoX, you may want to do modifications relative to the class you want to be in...otherwise you could end up going agaisnt 300+HP miatas

100 entries for tomorrow. On-line registration is closed last night at midnight, dunno how many walk-ins we'll be seeing, but my guess is that 100 will be the limit of tomorrow's participants. I think that almost ensures 5 runs for everyone.

Man, they kinda screwed up by only allowing 3 days for online registration. SCS when it's held in the summer has to limit itself to 200 entries.

That's what happens when its the weekend after a MAJOR event -- people kind of forget about what's happening next.

Back from Evt. Setting up the course took a long time. W/ the concerns of tommorrow's rain and the issues found when running the course in the reverse direction this morning (Conehead's practice) the course will be slower and tighter than originally planned. Distances from hard objects (lamposts, curbs and fences) have been increase to provide adequate wet weather run-off. The course map that you will be receiving at the event will not show the revisions accurately. Plan on getting in at least 2 course walks as some areas will look busy. About 3 elements will be pretty tight for the Z, patience is required. there is at least 1 area where power will matter but entry into it will be critical.

I'll see you gentlemen tommorrow.

Acckk!! The weather was freak'n horrible! I think that's the worse weather I've ever seen at an Evt event. Not as much fun when everyone is sitting in their cars in grid. For the guys working the course, that must've been pretty harsh out there.

Now we wait for the offical results. I think because of the difference between AM and PM conditions there's bound to be some discontent.

Hey now...no need to start making excuses ....and we also know that there's no need to wait for the offical results - I WAS THE FASTEST (ambient temperatures, humidity, ground temps, dry or wet surfaces, ect, ect will always be used as an excuse to those who were slower...just wish we had made a bet on who'd be fastest! )

Patrick was faster than me by half a second....I think he had a 55.0xx and I had a 55.5xx

Honestly, I'm happy...my car was not doing well out there at all! Time to ditch my 10 year old shocks me thinks.

I wish the course was dry...would have been a lot more fun for sure! At least I got to really feel how my car handles in slick conditions.

My backend was gettin' really squirrelly, even on the straights. Oh well...

Peter, what was your best time in your TO PM session? Same question for Noel?

53.2XXs

IIRC PDX_Racer hit a 52.3s (something close to a full second faster than me.)

I got a 54.6XX. I think I need to get out there one more time this year (BEAC practice) to see what this HR Z has in stock form. Couldn't really tell anything from that time out.

Even though it stopped raining as hard for the 2nd run group in the PM, it was still raining lightly, so conditions were basically the same for both. Sucks that it was dry in the AM, so it's kind of a moot point to compare AM vs. PM.

What did you put down, PDX_Racer?

My 4th run in the PM was when it let up raining a bit...but there was still a lot of water running through the course (from the top of the lot). I overheard Drivesolo saying that it felt more slick...I was wondering if more of the oil from parked cars was on the surface and causing worse conditions.

PDX_Racer ran a low 52s on his last (5th) run...I like comparing best times (irregardless of AM or PM) - it's the only way I can be faster than PDX_Racer!!
