Body shop recommendation
So, slightly ahead of schedule it looks like I'll be needing the services of a body, anyone got any recommendations of a place that will be good to work with pearl paint??
I'll post pictures of the carnage later ...

i'd suggest taking it to a Nissan shop, because they have the factory nissan paints. otherwise, you could get a toyota "pearl" paint, which is different. My buddy has an M3 that was solid black, but took it to some bodyshop that painted it black, and it now looks black with a really dark blue spot.
Alan Webb Nissan in Vancouver, WA did a good job on mine. Couldn't tell paint lines or anything.

The colormatching isn't all about the paint itself, but about application technique, especially on a 3 stage paint. I would trust a good shop that knew how to properly apply a pearl finish rather than a nissan shop any day.
good luck finding a good place in the pacific northwest. take it to cali where people actually care about their cars.

Don't mean to rattle your chains but maybe you should talk to wasuber...his front lip was painted there and he went through HELL! Maybe they are "extremely talented with custom paints" but are shitty with OEM paint?
Sorry Eric, doesn't mean to say it but I really want people to know about this place
And ladies and gentlement Daytona Blue is one of the easier colors to match - Belred Auto Rebuild did the front lip
If you need the fiberglass fixed, look for a shop that works on fiberglass regularly so the mat/resin is fresh.
I've got 50K and 5 years outside on my Nismo copy and it has always got positive comments. $1,500 to block sand to flat, fix fiberglass flaws, modify kit and paint. Paint looks OEM, just a lot tougher.
He mainly does old street rod insurance claims and odd project's.
He is party retired with a couple employees.
Put your stock nose on if you can and have you broken nose fixed.
