who else is going? Peter or Noel, are one of you going, would you mind showing me the ropes to this whole thing?

Yep, that as good of a place to get started as any.
There is also an SCCA event in Bremerton on Saturday the day before. You can find the local autoX schedule here:
http://www.wwscc.org/calendar.php
I don't think I'll be able to make it out that weekend. I think the next event that I have a possibility of attending is the WWSCC event on Sept 28th which will be at Sanderson Field in Shelton. First350 will most likely be there though.

BSCC also has a novice school on October 11th, that's a good place to start and get some instruction. It's all day and they only allow 50 people so you would need to sign up soon. Then they have their last event the following day on the 12th
^how much is the novice school
just for the record, i'm not a complete novice, i did 2 lapping days with alfa club, i'm just new to autox. i know that you get work assignments and whatever else when your not actually running. and that more what i'm looking for help in. i'm not saying i don't need any driving instruction, but i'm just not concerned with that on my first time out as much as actually getting a feel for how an autox runs and what to do when and so on

They have not said how much the novice school will be yet, but the one in Febuary was $35 and included lunch. Watch thier web site for sign up. It's a good place to start. They take you though everything you need to know when you arrive at an event
hey... can someone either find the thread for tight n tidy and bump it or throw up their number? i need some tires mounted and ive never been there but heard alot of good things
Slowster, are you talking about these guys or some other place?

I've used FTL before and they are as good as TNT, but TNT is closer to me so I opt to go there.

hummm....if I can get 3 Z guys to come out and run BSP (you have to be NA) for this upcoming SCCA NT ProSolo (this Sat/Sun) - I'd be willing to spend extra time helping you out!
**My class only has 2 ppl in it...I need at least 5 people to have a chance at winning the 2 free tires. (all classes that are less than 5 get bumped into 1 big class....with the type of competition, I don't have much of a chance at winning 1st/2nd, which is needed for the free tires...)
are there 3 ppl interested? You can co-drive a car, so 2 guys can drive the same Z....if I can get 2 ppl, I'll offer a co-drive spot in my Z to get the 3rd!!
it's $85 for both days (http://www.scca.com/eventitems.aspx?...t=12146&hub=3).
ProSolo - it's a combination of a drag race start and autoX course...lots and lots of fun!!!!!!
takers?

Also, there's a normal AutoX in Bremerton, SCCA #7 next weekend - Aug 31st. this is a normal event and would be a good starting place for any novice. I'll be there and can help out. I run in the PM - so if you're looking for some guidance, register for NOVPM (Novice PM).
peter, are you gonna be there on the 1st?? labor day? i'd go to the one on the 31st, but i cant make it on a sunday, i'd also go to the prosolo coming up, but again, i cant do it on a sunday
