The 2008 Northwest Racing season
I need to finish installing some of my parts before the event. I have a rogue engineering short shifter, my GT SPEC right side fender brace (did the left already) the 4 point mid brace, and the front lower tie bar.

read this....

once you figure out the course, your right foot will most likely be your biggest enemy - with lots of power, many times "slow is faster".
well, I did notice a big difference on my handling with just 1 fender brace. I at least want the other one on there for less body roll. I can't believe that i am going up against 2 tiburons, and an accent. I sell Hyundai's, why do I have to race against them as well?
Ya know... I was thinking the other day that we should make plans to have a VQ shoot out again sometime this summer. Kinda like we did last year, 'cept so we can enjoy some decent weather instead of the rainy mess of last year. Last year we choose Evt as the venue. Now that Boeing Evt is a fond memory, what other venue(s) would be suitable? Would Packwood allow the guys from Oregon to join us? Is Bremerton easier for the guys on the Penninsula? Or should we wait until an event at some new venue opens up so no one will have a 'home court' advantage? I hear Cheney Stadium and the Shelton Airport are possibilities for this year. Your thoughts?

LOL
hmm, might not be going to packwood, it's snowing today (estimate 3inches) supposed to snow tomorrow there, then overcast on sunday. Don't think the snow will be melted by then. My car doesn't do well in the snow...

I say if we have another Challenge we should put some rules out there for consideration:
One rule that I'll throw out is; you're on eligable to be part of the challenge if you gotta run on street tires, no R-comps.
I also like the idea of doing it when we can run in a completely new venue, that way it'll be new to everyone.

As long as we're on the subject... I might be down to toss in a little cash into a pot just for giggles. But it has to be a Challenge where it's not gonna be down to who's VQ is king on the dyno. Oh yeah,... and no R-Comps.

SlowZster ain't that slow...he's got 1st in the Novice class this morning at the SCCA autoX down in Packwood - FTW! (Nice driving Drew!)
*I rode w/ him on the first 2 runs - it felt weird to have that much power in a Z...kinda made mine feel slow

There's a back-to-back autoX at Cheney Stadium on July 5th and 6th (WWSCC Events 3 & 4). I'm pretty sure no one here has run there before (or atleast not in a Z/G). No home court advantage. Is this worth a possible consideration for a NW VQ challenge?
