The Board of Directors wish all of our members and supporters a
Happy New Year and hope you all have a successful 2008. We are
happy to announce that we are working with Portland International
Raceway for the PIR Grand Re-Opening Days on February 23rd and
24th, 2008.
Saturday will be sponsored by Pro Drive and will begin with an
official ribbon cutting by the City followed by a track walk to see the
new changes. After a free lunch we will open the track for pace laps
behind Pro Drive instructors for a $10.00 donation to Friends of PIR
for every three laps. Saturday will be open to all and this is the best
way to learn the new track. We will have car and motorcycle pace
lap groups available. Saturday evening Drag Race Test and Tune will
be available put on by P.I.R. weather permitting.
Sunday we will have a lapping day with lunch included. The Oregon
Region Porsche Club of America and a motorcycle organization yet
to be announced will be putting on this day. Go to
www.oregonpca.org and select Driver Ed from the menu for the carlapping
day. This is a great way to get in your first laps for the
2008 season and help support The Friends of PIR at the same time.

8:45 a.m. – 9:00 a.m Driver Meeting in Grandstands
9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. On-Track Sessions (25 minutes per group,
rotating)
12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. Lunch, included with your entry
1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. On-Track Sessions (25 minutes per group,
rotating)
