Default Colin can drive!

wow, most of you all know me and my car. Some of you know that my clutch is a royal pain in the ****! Even fewer yet have had the pleasure of trying to drive the car. I must say, Colin is the first person to be able to just hop in the car and be able to drive it with little to no jerkieness. I know bumpinjeep tried, sdbarker tried, alvinhuyn tried, daveboy tried, flyinglumpia tried, triple8sol tried, and I'm sure a few others that I am forgetting at the moment. Colin is the very first to drive it correctly. Congratz to you.

Note: he said I had to have this up before he got back to his house, so I am writing it LOL

It really wasn't that bad, the bite point on my clutch is pretty high also although Drew's clutch definately has more initial grab.

Don't think it'd be a problem on the street ...

If I remember correctly, you said you had the 6 puck sprung with the chromoly flywheel. I had the 6 puck sprung put in with the JWT flywheel. After a few jerky engagements, I found that having the rpm up to 3,000 or so makes it smoother.

The clutch definitely is not for just anyone.

It wasn't terrible, it just took a minute to get used to it. It's definitely not something that I'd like to have (in my limited experience with it) as something to deal with daily.

But, I'm happy to say that I didn't stall it.

definately takes some getting used to, but it's nice for holding the power.

I did not stall it either, but I do agree that I would not want to be stuck in traffic with that clutch.

I think you were the worst with it Ernie maybe you just couldn't reach the pedals to push the clutch in all the way. I know you didn't have your little extendable blocks that attach to your shoes though.

Shouldn't be a surprise, since Colin has a more extreme clutch/flywheel combo than you, whereas the rest of us are rolling stock in that dept.

+1 i used to run a 6 puck with an upgraded pressure plate spring also. it was a snap to drive. now if you really want a challenge, give a tilton set up a shot!! best clutch in the world once you get the car rolling, worst clutch to have in traffic. there is a reason you see all the nascar guys (and most other forms of racing too) spinning the tires when they leave the pits, so they don't kill it! lol

Colin can however get pulled over for accelerating too fast

Using politeness and logic he can get away with a warning
