Exhaust: Nismo vs Nismo S-Tune

Exhaust: Nismo vs Nismo S-Tune vs Weldina
(couldn't find it on SEARCH or YouTube.)
Somebody from NW forum explained the difference (Pacwfu?) between NISMO vs NISMO S-Tune vs Weldina exhaust. The latter having a smaller dia tip? I can't find that thread where he explained it.
Also, there's no posting of just the Nismo exhaust w/out any CATs so its hard to gauge the sound accurately. I know the Nismo retains the VQness sound, but just a little louder, no drone or rasp and doesn't lose power on the bottom end.
Looking to buy from West Covina Niss soon. Any help is appreciated.

The Factory Nismo has the same 2-1/2" piping that is stock on all z's. It's only the muffler that's different. I don't know if the internals of the muffler is the same as stock, but it pretty much just looks like a factory muffler with stainless steel instead of the satin black paint of stock. The outlets on the muffler are a bit different due to the way the tips are positioned. And of course the tips are huge.
The S-tune y-pipe has a 60mm inlet and a 3" outlet and the rest of the exhaust is a single 3" pipe. Muffler is angled different so you can actually see it (bling factor) and the tips are about the same size as a standard 350Z's, but oval instead of totally round.
The s-tune exhaust is a very good exhaust. If you drive normally, you probably won't even know you have an exhaust on the car. When you drive with a bit heavier foot, it sounds like a properly tuned performance car should. A bit deeper, and tiny bit louder, but sounds right. Lower your voice a little, and say "whirrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr". That'll give you an idea.

What you need is the Nismo S-Tune.
I never heard of a regular Nismo exhaust, except for the Nismo muffler that comes on the Nismo edition Z. I think you are referring to that. Someone put that on a regular Z and the tips hung down so low that it looked very dissoriented.
If you are going to get a Nismo exhaust, get this one:

Nismo S-Tune is definitely what I'm interested in too. Just itchin' to push the "buy now" button at West Covina Nissan
http://www.thenismoshop.com/ikorb.ph...product_id=187
They're running a special for $750 plus shipping until the end of August

If someone local in the Bellevue area has one I could hear in person that would be awesome. PM me to set up a meet

If you're going without cats (what I got from your first post)... I don't think you would want the Nismo exhaust. I heard it rasps like crazy with test pipes. Hi flos or stock cats should sound orgasmic with it though

I'm also considering the Bassani, there's a GB for $890 shipped.

The Bassani sounds awesome from what I can tell, but the muffler sits a little off center and has single wall tips, those are the only two things holding me back on the Bassani.

Are you going for preformance or presence? In both cases I think the HKS is the better option. The Nismo systems are really only good if you don't want to attract any unwanted attention and like a little more lowend torque as opposed to top end power gain. __________________

You might want to hold out till the end of this week or early next week. Hydrazine is debuting a new exhaust system by Motordyne called "Shockwave". Motordyne's previous products have been nothing but spectacular, so I would wait to see what the real deal is, especially since its only a few days.
edit: HKS TD is not for F/I ... it is a very good N/A exhaust.
