Default VDC/Slip light question.

Happened second time in a week, when I take the turn in the wet and slide a bit or hit the breaks hard VDC/Slip lights come on and there is no traction control from that point on. I tried pushing the button to turn it off and on, tried restarting the car but nothing helped. I left the car for a couple of hours in the lot and then everything was back to normal. Any idea why this could be happening? Any one else had the issue?

From what I understand, if the VDC or TCS engages and the car cannot right itself to the point where it doesn't "slip", it will disable the traction control for a period of time. I would think that you could just shut off the car and restart it and it would be fine, but maybe it just needs a bit longer to reset.

Hmmm... I am going for an oil change today and I will ask them at the dealership as well. Now it seems a lot more random because I used to drive a lot more aggressive and it was never a problem before.
