Default Anyone need a job? Vancouver/Portland

Times are rough right now with everything going under, but one company that is standing strong is Wells Fargo. I just found out we're offering 110 positions. It's not glamorous and pay varies on experience but it has benefits and job security which is more than I can say for most people right now. The position is in collections (again not glamorous) but if you find yourself needing a job please feel free to PM me and I'll get you an interview immediately.

Have you done collections before? As I stated it's not glamorous but I'd rather be working FT with ok pay and benefits for a reputable company than where most people are right now. I'm proud of my job. I work specifically in the Real Estate department helping families keep their homes while everyone else runs and hides. I thought I'd help some people if they were worried about or have already been laid off recently and need a job.

See the problem is the media portrays us as "the devil" and says we "harrass" people. It's not a matter of harrassing. I actually think they should make collections a required job for some people. It's a real eye opener to be on the other side of the phone. It's as easy as this; Americans live outside their means and spend money on crap they want instead of paying off the stuff they need. It all comes down to the big companies going out on a limb and giving these loans to people expecting them to pay back and they don't. That's stealing. I can go on forever about this but yea it still stands that there are secure jobs open and if you're in a pinch and need a job PM me and I'll do my best to help out.

Maybe my old boss. He got canned yesterday after 35+ years with the company.
I'm more ticked about than he is. Maybe I should get a job in collections while I'm still ticked.

Man that's sad but true. It's scary to see how bad it's gotten. Just to give you an idea I started in the RE department with 6 other people and our portfolio at the begining of the month was probably 60 million. Fast forward 2 years and we have 200+ in RE and our portfolio last month just in a 30 day past due status was almost 8 billion. Yes billion. I know my job is secured and that's all I care about but it's hard to hear about the people getting laid off right and left.

I appreciate you helping fellow community members.

What's the pay scale? Benefits after 6 months or immediate? Paid vacation? Paid parking?

Why is this thread going on this tangent? Here we have this guy doing a good deed and spreading the word about a job opportunity. Why would you start knocking him or his industry?

My wife use to be the Operations Manager for the Wells wholesale mortgage branch in Tigard.
One of her old employees works for the collections department now.
If you know Vince, tell him Gary and Keri say Hi!

Pay is anywhere from $11.00/hr for 18y/o out of h/s to $45k/year for really experienced collectors. Benefits I believe are immediate and you start immediately with 4 weeks of paid time off a year. I'm in my 3rd year here and they bumped it up to 5 weeks for next year. Finally, we have our own parking lot so parking is plentiful. If you have a chance you can check it out. It's the huge brick building right in front of Cinetopia.

I wish I could help you out but we went from 300 reps to over 700 in 2 years so it's hard to find a needle in a haystack so to speak.

Company policy that we can't share that info but I'll try to answer any I can. Just PM me.

Exactly what myself and several others are using it for. They pay $5000.00/year in tuition after a year here. I'm using it to my full advantage.

Hope this helps and if there are any other questions feel free to ask anytime.
