Maybe the same reason some people ask about wheel weights with no real intention of buying. Just to know

Actually both sets are going for $200. The oem z wheels and g wheels in excellent shape. They wont clear but if the g wheels would clear they would look better imo and would be different. Hence, one of my reasons for modding. Thats my 02 cents on that. Also, the search to confirm the fitment has showed up nothing so I called Pinnacle Nissan and UMS tuning and the verified, thanks redlude.

He isn't asking "just to know" so how is your analogy revelant?

But yeah, I forgot some just like to spend a crap load of $ on wheels just because they cost a crap load of $.

Seriously? Maybe it's info. that people besides just him can benefit from. Maybe there's a well-priced set for sale in the classifieds or on CL. Maybe he prefers that style even if they aren't the absolute cheapest. Maybe...it doesn't even matter why. Just find it ironic that he got "called out"for asking an on-topic question by someone that is notorious for asking random questions.

No need to start taking pot-shots, regardless of how lame the attempt was.

I was asking a question. Where was the pot shot? (other than the one you just took?). I found it odd that he was asking about some pretty new 07 wheels when his thread mentions cheap wheels. Typically new wheels aren't as cheap as wheels that have been around since 2003'.

Also in another thread, he again asks for inexpensive wheels
https://my350z.com/forum/wheels-tire...ml#post6638798

Based on my and other's advice, he went with the dedicated wheels/tires route. so since my advice sounded okay once, I thought he would consider it again. So I asked him the question.

So again, to me, it made sense to point out the fact that going with something that works would trump something that might not (and stranding him with a set of wheels that won't clear)

Up to the point of my post, his criteria was 1) Cheap/17s and 2) clear brembos. Didn't know style was a criterion until he chimed in again.

Actually I'm still not sure (from his post) that they will clear.

G's wont clear. Oem z's will. Both for sale in az locally for 200$. G wheels are expensive but I can get the set for 200$. I am looking for inexpensive wheels, for example 200$ compared to lets say 3k$ on Volks like these time attacks that were on my Integra:

Well said

maybe some spacers for the G wheels if you prefer them over the Z ones for clearance?

yeah thats what i was gonna do but it would probably be best just go to with the z wheels just to save money and time. Im moving on Monday right after finals and I still have to go pick up the wheels, and would have to wait for some spacers to be shipped.

Maybe I was misunderstood. I didn't say you wanted cheap wheels because you were cheap. I assumed you wanted inexpensive wheels because they were of course just going to be winter beater wheels for your snow tires.

You'd have to buy two more but that's a decent deal for two.

Wow man. Good looking. That is a great deal. They go for 180 a piece retail.

No problem

oem sizes are staggard at 225-50-17 and 235-50-17. I'd try to maintain the oem stagger ratio if it all possible.

I'll "guess" you could run these for the fronts and run 225-50-17s in the rear.

Last year, when I was trying to find 215-55-17s for my G, I was running into 225s and 235s - 50-17s all over the place. Not so much this year. I finally found some 215s but I was ready to run 225-50-17s all around if I didn't find these.

Craigslist you tend to have to get creative with your search words. I used to search for "winter tires" and then sort though all the different sizes/brands.

Another possibility. A tad small compared to the oem 235-50-17 but it might work. Others should chime in as to the feasibility. It's a pretty good deal but I'm not familiar with the performance of these particular tires in the snow.

Any one have experience with the rubber listed above. All season kinda turns me off based off readings I've been doing lately.

Sorry I thought the P zeros were snows. Forget it. Go with some dedicated snows from whatever maker. I don't think all seasons will cut it.

Weather report says snow through the weekend and towards the end of next week, so I just mounted up my snows tonight. OEM Z 18's on Dunlop Wintersport M3's. We'll see how they perform. They're so tucked though. What size spacers do I need...25?

I'm sure he's glad you got your snows on

white_sg, hope you picked up those blizzaks and bought two more. You can probably limp around for today and tuesday but Wed is going to bring in the snow and it's going to stay until at least this weekend.

Tire shops are already probably busy. Good luck
