I am a member of the SCCA (not very active because of babies) and plan to do more next year, but until then mostly I spectate.
There are a few members here like Drivesolo, PDXracer, etc.. that may have more insight to the time-attacks, I am out of the loop on when and where these may or may not take place.
Depending on who you work for you may be eligible for this club of racers.
