This is one of the reasons that I rarely look a price per gallon -- I tend to look at cost per 100 (or even 1000) miles traveled.
Our Armada uses regular, but when we're towing, using premium is actually cheaper. The MPG wasn't that much higher, but it was enough that it saved us one tank fill per 1000 miles (at a price difference of $0.20/gal, or about $5.00 more per tank -- and saved ourselves over $40).
