side note: Someone told me that the front plate is where they bounce the radar off of. Doesn't really make too much sense but that could be a good reason to stop people for no plates.

LOL at talking in the third person.

You got pulled over, just be happy you didn't get a ticket.

I would recommend the Stillen kit that utilizes the tow hook.

radar bounces off moving objects, same things used for those speed signs that tell you how fast your going. otherwise the law would be "front plate must be mounted at a 90* perpendicular angle to the ground". my front plate is currently bolted to the bottom of my front bumper, aiming it up almost facing the sky.. and the radars have no problem detecting me.

I just got pulled over again up here in Bham for no front plate. Told the cop I had just gotten done with the photoshoot and had to clip the zip ties holding it on

I think they aim the laser mainly at the headlights and windshield because they are relatively reflective and easy to hit.

I live in Texas and my font plate is a awesome picture of a pissed off bald eagle . I think they enjoy it cause 3 times I've been pulled over and the guys have complimented it.
All three times they did warn me about my rear plate, I have the protective clear cover.... guess those are illegal ?

I wasn't talking in the 3rd person. I'm not the one who got pulled over. It was MR. blastoff.

For the moment, I'm gonna rock the lime green zipties.

familiar with stealth fighter jets? cars are the not the most aerodynamic things out there. speed detection radars simply send out a signal that bounces off any solid object.
