Patience! I helped Drew install his solid bushings and it was a pain. The two on the actual diff werent bad, but the main one in the subframe was hard to push out.
wanna know how to get the one in the subframe out.... get a hole saw for like doorknobs, drill into the rubber from both sides, get the middle rubber out of there. next take a sawzall or somethign similar, score the inside metal of the bushing in 3-5 places, not cutting all the way through though (dont want to hit subframe) then get a hammer and a punch drive it between subframe and the metal of the bushing.. eventually it will start bending on the scores you made and buckle up......that is how we did mine, wasnt too bad
If you bought the spl solid bushings it comes with a tool to assist getting it out.... Could just take the whole sub frame off and press out all the bushings and put new ones in ... That's what I did...
yeah that is the key word... if. if he went with the whitelines or any others he wouldnt have it. they way i did it i just had to lower the rear subframe some
Kinda bringing the thread back to life but I just did mine. Tried with a c clamp and some channel iron, that didn't work.. I ended up using a piece of "all thread" a 3"x2" bell reducer, the above mentioned channel iron and just jacked it out by tightening the nut on one end of the all thread. Total cost at the hardware store was about $40 for the pieces. Put the new SPL bushing in the freezer the night before and and then got it in about 1/4 of the way buy hand and then jacked it in the same as pulling the old one out.
