I just picked up my Stealth, and it is fixed, so Thunderhill, here I come! I am signing up today. Already got my Motel.

Is there any dinner gathering up in Willows on Friday night?

4myZ350, as far the Stealth vs. Z handling question, I really do not want to start any flame war here. I love both cars, and the topic has already been discussed on both this board and the 3si.org board.

There are a few reason I am racing the Stealth rather than the Z. One, the Stealth has been modified and is pushing over 400hp whereas my Z is still stock and will remain that way for a while (warranty...) Two, the Z is still on stock tires and stock brakes, so not the best setup for the track. I have lost control a few times at autocross events, so I don't trust these tires too much. Three, I am no racing expert yet, and the Stealth is almost impossible to lose control of mostly because of the all wheel drive and all wheel steering.

The down side of the Stealth is that it is very heavy, but for the reasons stated above, that is my track car for now.

That being said, I love the Z and it is a very nimble car with great handling, so please don't give me attitude when you see me at the track in the Stealth Nothing but love here

 

Dinner will be on Saturday at THill (catered BBQ) after we're done tracking. Glad you can make it.

 

Oh my God, that was a fun weekend... I can barely keep my eyes open right now after putting almost 8 hours and 350 miles on the track yesterday and today!!

My Stealth did great, but has no tires left. Lots of beautiful Z's there of course. Going around the track in the Z Car Garage 350Z driven by Donna was an amazing experience.

Time to go to bed...

You missed out big time! Weather was perfect- sunny all weekend and in the 50-60's. I clocked 435 miles on the track in two days!!!! We ran two sessions A and B in one, C in the other. I don't think there were more than ~15 cars max on the track at any one time.

How come your bro didn't show up? I saw him registered but didn't see him all weekend.

Next track day is at the end of June (on the 28th I believe).

 

It was his b-day on Friday, I think his wife had him booked all weekend....
damn. only 2 session... and dry dry dry.... ~sigh... will be ready for the next one!!

That was an amazing weekend! I don't know how I'm ever going to see such awesome weather combined with a two-day event (on a weekend, mind you), with so few cars on the track at one time, and good company to boot. I'm still reveling in the excitement of it all.

My arms are kind of sore, which is kind of strange...

I also want to thank Daveh for all the great instruction he provided me. It is good to finally meet some of the forum members in person.

I too had a great time. It was my first time at a track so I guess I'm spoiled now since I've been told that rarely do you get as much track time in as we did this past weekend. I really learned lot about my car and myself. I definitely intend to do more track days.
