The one misnomer about bikes vs cars that people don't really think about is ... what you save in gas, you'll pay for in rear tires on a bike (if you ride for more than a commute) ... you'll replace your rear tire every 3-4000 miles, if you do more than just ride back and forth to work.

Might even it out, but something to think about
Good to know! I'll mainly just be taking it to work in the summer though.
Have to say, the price has been going up about every 3 days at about 3 cents a gallon here. Pretty soon will be reading in the newspapers about "Gas truck Hijackings".
i might be able to set up a group buy at one of my dads chevrons, there in lodi and acampo out here in the valley... i could drop the price if we have enough cars or soemthing haha
I check www.sanjosegasprices.com just to get an idea what a "low" gas price is in the area even if I don't wanna ever go to any of the stations w/low prices. Only prob is that the prices are for regular unleaded, so one just has to assume that if they have low regular prices that their premium prices are also low
Filled up at Costco this morning at $2.37. Same 16 gallons I always put in when it is empty. I got 400+ miles out of those 16 gallons this weekend cruising around 80 most of the time.
