Sean even has his seat back in.......I think he has a bottle back where the spare used to be and is spraying a little when we aren't looking.

Actually he just has exhaust and JWT intake, street slicks and ice packs and that is about it.

Dang, I knew I should've gone last night! Congrats on the best times I've seen a Z run out at Sac. As a matter of fact I've never seen a Z run 13's out there (except a tt). What tires are you running?

Looks like you were racing the Tercel! 19.XX sec dial in.
You both hit your dial ins. Great job Sean.

Actually it was a FORD PINTO!!! It felt like deja vu when I saw the number 19 again. He was damn close to his dial in too! I just barely ousted him.

Now don't put down ford Pinto's, I had one. See Pics.

It must of been a good race with both of your so close to your dial ins. It had to have had the British 1600cc engine in it to go that slow.

This is a little off topic but since you're drag racers...what do I need to do to my 2004 entusiast 6mt to do a burnout? I've tried pulling the brake light fuse but the brakes still won't allow me to do one. Thanks for your help!

I have never pulled the brake fuse out and I can smoke them like the pic of the Pinto above. Did you try releasing the clutch at higher rpm's? While keeping the brakes on?

My process goes... rev to 3.5-4.5k, dump the clutch, moderately press brakes, and before I'm able to keep the tires spinning the brakes (ABS?) stop the tires even though I hardly press them. If at this point I was to apply more gas...bye bye clutch. We did the same thing in my friends 2003 with no problems. In looking at the different fuses, we found that I have no VDC fuse where he does. Also, he has a VDC button where I have a TCS button. I gotta figure this out so I can put my Drag radials to use.
Thanks,
JP

silly question, but you turned off TCS via the button before attempting the burnout, right?

I was just going to ask that. I don't have VDC, but do have TCS and I turn it off.

1st thing I do when I get in my car! I just want to make sure I'm doing everything necessary before I make another attempt. Because if I'm not spinning my tires then I'll be roasting the clutch

I don't know how anybody else does it, but I wait till I feel the back tires go down into the water box. I then proceed to run the rpms up to 6500 rpm's, stay there for awile, not sure how long, but usually when I see some smoke drifting by. I then let off the brake enough to come out of the water pit and spin the tires on the way to the staging lights. Controling the whole thing with the right amount of brake. I have a 5AT, so it is easier for me to do, but I have done that many times with a MT car, just not a 350Z.

Hopefully some of the 6MT guys will post how they do it.
