Awesome! Post some more pics and videos! What did everyone run? Good job on the 13.7 Sean, I guess the weather helped!
Walt, If I showed you up wouldn't even make it past the first round , good job with the 3 wins though, you're in first place, no?

Did any of you happen to see a silver, late model Trans Am or a purple w/white stripe Datsun Roadster?

They didn't let my friend's roadster run because he shved his door handles

I'm sure the weather helped, but we 350Z guys have a new secret weapon......"The Fuse" thanks to Sean's experience. We are going to demolish that plastic car of yours. I might even enjoy seeing you cry after all your trash talk. There should be a meet in Oct.

Can't believe shaved door handles would DQ you. Wonder why.

What is "The Fuse"? Oh it must be one of the many parts that intermittently work on that well-built Audi TT, I mean 350z of yours!

Well, my friend showed up and they wouldn't let him run his roadster. It's a custom with shaved door handles, no windows or vents. Sac Raceway let him run only twice since he didn't have a top. Here's a few pics:

I'm thinking the reason is because they want you to be able to open the door from the outside in case of an emergency? But it's an open-top car!

Bruce do you think you can work your Infineon connection to let him run, at least against me a couple times for kicks?

Seems kinda silly. I know if you electronics goes dead you can't open the door. So someone could burn to death. But, this is a convert. They should have been realistic about the safety requirement. Oh well, I guess if it was upside down and burning you would want that door to open. That the only condition that makes sense to me.

I don't think the fuse thing works on a Base because it doesn't have TCS or VDC. However, your gonna need a LSD to help you out a bit on a Base car. Right?

A good launch is tough with a one leg car. that one wheel is going to spin like crazy. We have a member who sometimes races with a base and you can watch him lose traction in one wheel at launch.

You'll be getting a DVD and CDR on Sunday at ZcarGarage. We can talk about it then.

How much do you want up loaded the whole DVD or just your burnouts?

I am sure I can and I will email Chad and see what we can do.

BTW - DVD and CD Masters are done. All Pict CD are copied and I am now working on the copies of the DVD for those people that were at Infineon.

Fowlman - That's why my plans include the NISMO LSD. What I really wanted to know about the fuse they pulled and if it will help the Base car since it doesn't have the TCS or VDC. Sorry I didn't make myself clear....

Anyways, it was nice meeting and talking to you last night.

Don't forget to pick up your DVD and CD-R at ZcarGarage Sunday Morning.
If you can't make it PM me and I can mail it to you or give it to you at the track next week.

I'm not sure about the fuse with the base car. It still has ABS and it may be built into the ECU on all Z's. It has something to do with the ABS and it appears to be a safety thing. it may cut power on all Z's including the base model when throttle and brake are applied at the same time. I'm not sure about that. I didn't believe the fuse thing until the other night, since I was turning repectable times withut pulling it. I see 13.7's or better in my future now.

I won't be at the ZCG since I'm coming from the northbay, but will be at RR and TI.
I would like to see everything/everybody on the CD or whatever media you are using. Thanks, Walt

Thanks to everyone who came out on Wednesday to play at Infinion. Great job Walt. You are 3 more smileys closer to those DR's. It's gonna be tough to catch you. Art, you got some great footage so I can't wait for the CD/DVD. Please bring them to the TI Meet if you can. I am a true believer in the 10AMP theory. Hey, you guys missed the exit on the way home. Oh well...Next time...
