Default I got Rear-ended today!

Crow Canyon Road going North on 680, just before Sycamore Valley Blvd. around 4:45 or so...blacked out for ????????? Woke up and saw smoke in the car and blood on my head.

Dude (??) in a red Ford Truck didn't slow down when the traffic was slowing down and ran right into me. I hit the car in front and she hit the car in front of her...spinning her car around!

Just got back from the ER in WC and feels like I have a hangover! Pus my neck is killing me.

But my Z!! You see my Z?? I just got a new tranny last week!!

Damn, that sucks bro. Good thing you didn't have any major injuries.

I hope they total your Z so that you can get a new one.

God damn man, that sucks big time, I hate f'ing truck/suv drivers that are not 100% concentrating when they drive. They are driving a 4000-6000lbs leathal weapon!!!!!

Hope you get well soon (and hope chiropatric works well), your Z is likely to be a total.
I used to live in Walnut Creek, will be back and visit this thanksgiving.

And thank god our car's gas tank isn't like those on the BMW M coupe, or you would be toasted!

Congratulation on your accident. You get to drive a new Z with your insurance money and medical. Get a good lawyer. You should be in good shape.

Again, congratulation

Cool At least you're okay!

Here's hoping that you get back to feeling 100% again, REAL SOON!

AND - hopefully you will not have to endure too much of the typical aggravation that usually comes with these unfortunate situations.

The good news is that you are STILL here today, to tell us your tale.

Cars can (and will, in your case - I hope) be replaced, You can't be replaced.
Make sure you get proper medical attention and look out for things like feelings of nausea, sleepiness in the middle of the day, etc.

Glad your okay! With all the ******** on the freeway these days I'm just counting the days. I saw this jerk in a jacked-up Tahoe cut off this Civic on my way to work. I thought he was going to hit the guy. It was really close. It's just a matter of time if your on the highway.

Hey Thanks everyone for all the great wishes and yeah it's going to be a long process I'm sure. I was on the phone with the insurance people and it's not too bad yet. Just need to get an Adjuster out to give her her last rites.

I was down at the Tow Yard in Dublin to pick up all my personal stuff and the guys at the yard were all hangin around shaking their heads mumbling "what a waste, what a waste of a beautiful car.." Made me feel alright but just wanted to get out of there. The Z had a punctured gas tank and had I had more than the 2 gallons of gas in the tank I think I would have been toast. The smoke I saw in the car was from gas leaking on the muffler. The tow truck driver noticed the rupture as he was hooking the rear of the car onto the tow bed.

I took more pix of the car but I think she's a goner. I got a call from Cooks Collision asking about it since my insurance notified them. Told them I think the car's a goner and when I emailed the photos (posted here on this thread) they even agreed but, it's not official til the insurance company reads her the last rites.

My head is still throbbing and yeah been feeling pretty sleepy most of the day. 600 mg of Motrin is helping but I'm holding back on the vicadin..not too keen on heavy duty pain killers like that. But I'll take em if I'm feeling like sh*t. I'll post more pix later, starting to loose focus ..

Thanks all of ya!

Glad you're ok . . . it happened to me causing $13K in damage. After you get it all settled, try buying back the car for 1K or something and part out the engine, tranny, & interior if it's still in good shape.
