Default Got a speeding ticket yesterday

in Vallejo - on Ascot Parkway heading towards Turner Parkway.... Sloped roadway very easy to go over the limit..
Got me on the radar for 52 MPH on a 35 MPH zone... I totally lost track of how fast I was driving - I'm thinking around 45... Guy ahead of e got a ticket too... 2 motocops got us both... I'm pissed cause I know that's a hotspot and I totally forgot to track my speed ....

I know it's difficult to have it thrown out but any tips would be appreciated...

thanks in advance...

OK, here we go.... When you receive your courtesy notice from the mail, call the court 1 week prior to the appearance date and ask for the maximum extension. When that date arrives, show up in court and schedule a court appearance. On your first court appearance, plead not guilty and they'll reschedule a 2nd appearance to give the officer notice to appear. Show up the 2nd time and pray that the officer doesn't show up. If he does, then you're on your own. This has worked for me twice in Santa Clara County Traffic Court (San Jose) and walked away happy both times.

Another alternative is pay the fine and attend traffic school to wipe it off your record. I only recommend my first advice if you've attended traffic court within the past 18 months.

Thanks for the tip MGV156... My last speeding ticket was in 2001 so I can go to traffic school for this one... Now I'm thinking of getting a radar detector - any suggestions...

Trying to think up of a good explanation for when I enter my plea....

Order yourself a Valentine1. This thing works flawlessly, trust me and I'm sure other owners can vouch for it as well.

I don't know if you can talk yourself out of this one, but you can ask the judge to lower the fine. Honestly, the discount isn't so much to rave about especially if it's a waste of your time. If the fine isn't so much, I'd rather pay it and go to traffic school. The only reason I took my 2 cases to court was because I got ticketed 3x in less than 1 year .

Traffic school can be done in 20 min online. Just copy and cut the text to a txt file and then when you take the test, just go back and search for key words. It's flawless and quick. Or just PM me for a saved version.
