Romantic Activities around San Francisco
Hi all:
My gf and I will be visiting SF, and I'm looking for suggestions on some romantic activities which we can embark upon. I've decided on a few, such as fisherman's wharf, ghiradelli's square, union square, etc.
If you have any other inputs, please let me know asap.
Thanks,
ravi

Yeah I figured that would be incorporated with the union square visit.
What about stuff like rollin around in a horse drawn carriage or parks/beaches etc?
Where would I go about findin info about that?

Man I have no idea...probably visit the city website. I'm from sacramento, so the only carriage stuff I know of is the one in old sacramento haha. Go to google and do a search for the citys website. Usually they advertise to tourists what there city is all about. Good luck..!

There are some horse drawn carriages at Pier 39, but San Francisco is usually too cold and damp to really enjoy it. On a nice day, a cruise around Alcatraz or Angel Island is always nice. And of course, the wine tours in Napa County. Enjoy!

Going on the Hornblower this weekend... will report about how romantic it is when I get back
You can add some nice serene places in SF like Twin Peaks to your romantic places roster... and there is the Marin Headlands just over the GG bridge.

If youre driving to SF, take the 49 Mile Scenic drive, beautiful scenery. You can also try going to Baker Beach depending on the weather. Sausalito is also a romantic city to go, small but intimate and a great view of the city. At night, you can go to a bar at the downtown Hilton, the highest floor has a restaurant/bar called CityScape, very nice place with a great view from the top. Theres tons of places to go, those are just a few places off the top of my head but there are the individual districts as well. Man I miss home, cant wait to come back for Thanksgiving.

Sausalito - Take Alexander exit right off the GG Bridge. Just follow the road around til you hit the "boardwalk" area. If its sunny, there are benches along the shore and you can see from the GG Bridge, alcatraz, all the way down to Bay bridge.... And ITS WARM.
Stinson Beach is another spot but its about 45 minutes from Sausalito but on the way there, you'll enjoy driving through the backroad twisties and the view of the Pacific from the cliffs.
In the City... too many to list.
But I would suggest Gary Danko on Bay st. @ the Warf over any other restaurant right now (that's a bold statement) Pricey and you'll have to make reservations but its worth it.

I loved the Cheesecake factory atop of Macy's. Outside of course, though they day me and the future wife went was bloody cold. Maybe the park just north of the Golden Gate bridge, good lookout point never been but I hear is nice.

cheesecake factory will also provide you with view of the Christmas tree they just put up on union square...
Hornblower is good though I like it better during the day - too damn cold at night....
Spinnaker restaurant in Sausalito late afternoons provides a good view of the Golden Gate at sunset....

2. Equinox - Dinner room slowly rotates 360 so you get a view of the entire cityscape around you. I bit pricey considering what you get to eat but it's one of those places where you simply pay for the ambience.
