Hey Guys,

For some of you that made it to the BJ's Meet in San Mateo, I am thinking of putting together another meet with a bit more of an activity than your standard checking out the rides, take pics, & eat type of meet. So...I have put together this poll to get an idea of what people are interested in doing. This event will probably be setup around August.

Here is what I had in mind:

GoKart Racing Meet - Maybe at LeMans in Fremont or GoKart Racer in Burlingame)
Paintball Meet - (Not sure on location yet. Suggestions?)
Basketball Meet - (Not sure on location yet. Suggestions?)
Beach Meet - (Monterey, Half Moon Bay, Carmel, etc. We can setup some BBQ & Volleyball, etc.)
Bowling Meet - (Not sure if anyone is into this one but decided to throw this in.)

Also open to any other suggestions...

BTW...this is seperate to the local mini-meet I am planning for South Bay folks.

Okay folks. There is a reason why this is in the "NorCal" section. This poll is public so I can see who is voting for what & some of you who have voted are not even from this area?!

 

As far as paintball goes, I wanted to setup a meet a while back, but never got around to it.

I've never been there, so I have no idea how it is.

 

^ LOL. I know where that one is. That is actually right around the block from GoKart Racer. I think some of my friends have been there before so I'll ask. Thanks for the info!

Okay...I now changed the title so it says "Bay Area" which I think is kinda redundant since it is in the "NorCal" section!

BBQ and the beach is always a good idea especially during the summer.

 

How about outdoor clay shooting? I haven't been there yet, but plan to go soon. Not sure of all the rules, but i know there's a place South San Jose

Beach/BBQ/Volleyball - Monterey, now I like that, oh yeah, of course I live here by Monterey/Carmel. James - that sounds decent, even with that David and I could have a local mountain run with a nice long straight-away set up if wanted too.

 

Perhaps we caould do a mini meet/bbq at sunset beach in SF on a sunday afternoon?

I second the motion for a run in Monterey county. We have a local 1hr run through Carmel valley that is nothing but twist and turns and challenging runs. Test your driving skills and handling.

i will vote because i live dab smack in the middle and i like to travel to meets.
i personaly like bowling but i never did the paintball thing and dont play basketball, and BBQ's never turn out right, oh go kart sounds fun.

 

i say we meet and do a bbq at the beach then do a cruise around the bay

 

Hahaha! The strip club & massage parlor idea does sound tempting but our female z member might not find that very fun. LOL. Right dgacob & FairLadeeeZ? We can definitely setup a seperate event for this though for us guys

We can definitely do a drive after hanging out at the beach. In fact, we can actually do a drive after any of the meets I listed above for those who are interested. But I agree driving around Monterey will definitely much more scenic. The drive would probably have to be somewhat mild & not too crazy though since some folks may bring their motion sensative guest like my GF . Any ideas on beach locations with plenty of parking?

Looks like GoKarting is what the majority wants though so I'm going to start talking to both locations to see what they can provide for big groups like ours. Who knows, I may do the Beach Meet as well but on a later date
