Default A 350Z I came across on Sunday.

I visited a Nissan Dealership in Folsom and I found a 2006 350Z that had it's drivetrain completely removed. The Salesman said the Z was turbocharged and dyno'ed @ 580 hp. They tried to sale the Z for 60k and to no luck, the Z never sold, maybe too expensive. I would like to know if anyone out in the Z community had this car or knows the true story about this Z. I did ask if any of the performance parts were for sale and a manager said they were going to scrap the parts! It kind of burned me that they were going to scrap the parts but maybe the engine was blown and they were parting it out?
Who knows?
The Z was a 2006 white ,w/ G35 18" wheels and AP racing brakes on all 4 corners. No body kit or hood.

60 grand for a z...i'm sure it's safe to say that most/all the ppl here would rather fix it up the way they want for that much money

They are not going to scrap the parts. Somebody at the dealership will take them and sell them. A buddy of mine was a Honda mechanic. His job was to return all the ricer trades back to stock before they resell the cars. He and the other mechs. kept all the parts and resold them.

the car belonged to the old owner Mr. Aloia. He is no longer the owner even though the store still has his name. It was a TT automatic. Was a pretty bad *** car, but was never really driven. I remember when they first put it together, they had a HUGE cart of aftermarket parts that they were going to add to it. Just made me drool. Since Aloia is no longer there they have moved away from doing aftermarket MODS. They did a few of mine.

60k thats retarded.

yea, they pull the parts off and put it back to factory form for the most part and the mechanics keep the parts and sell them. I used to get free stuff all the time from nissan mechanics.

As for previous owners, I almost laughed, the 350z isn't that old and I hope most of you know the story of you car. I would have loved to know the story on my 280z, all I know is it was factory silver and always in Cali, possibly 3 owners on record. Sucks to hear 350z owners come and go so often but then again my dad is on his second 350z already.
