Default Eneos Motor Oil (full synthetic)

Hey, I just switched over to this brand from Japan ENEOS I love it. I have been using Mobil 1 full synthetic for the past 4 years (currently 47k miles) on my Z and tried this JDM brand out, they are fairly new in the US, but very popular in Japan or EU.

Anyone else tried this oil out? They say it's one of the purest synthetics out there even compared to Mobil... and it's nice to have JDM oil in your Z. hehe

Mach III in SF promotes this and it's at a reasonable price for car enthusiasts.

Yes...read somewhere Nippon was coming to North America soon.

0w-20 doesn't have enough heat protection imo.
0w-50 didn't think that spread in oil viscosity was possible and be 100% effective.

You should do a UOA on this oil and post results in UOA sticky.

I'm no expert by any means, but 'resolute' may render an opinion. He is the oil analysis guru for our VQ's, hands down.

Which Eneos grade you running?
Whats Mach III getting per quart, if you don't mind me asking.

no problem. If you go back in the sticky, I had actually tried to run it in my twin turbo, but it is just way to thin and burnt off very quickly. I had never had to add oil to my car until I tried the Eneos. Right now I am trying it in an NA VQ35DE and it is not burning off at all with over 1500 miles on it so far.

Just from my experience with the oil to date, I would only use it in a Naturally Aspirated engine. I think that forced induction is just to much for this oil.

I will be sending off for the UOA within the next month. Hope to see some good results from it.

Whew!...lol
Agree with your choice of multi grade.

UOA from USN HM 350Z will be a new one to add to that thread. It will be interesting to see results from Nippon oil in NA VQ's.

No worries on price. I'll guess with Mach III ~$8-10/qt retail.

just got my UOA back from the Eneos, seems to be a pretty poor oil. I had much better UOAs from Dino oil.

Like I said before, I have a few friends who are from California and now live in Japan, I will ask him again about this brand of oil. He is currently driving a mini-coop so I am sure that he is probably using synthetic oil in the crank-case.
