while I was driving to work today I started thinking........why don't we have a meet/greet/drive?i mean San jose has meets,sac town has there meets ,why not us monterey county guys have one?we have a beautiful coast on our side we should take advantage of it. So we will see how many people would be interested then if its a good amount we will set up a date. So any interest?

 

I'm from Monterey, and live in Fremont now. If the cops in PG/Monterey weren't so bad I'd consider it, and the drive wouldn't cost me $25. The cops have like nothing to do over there but hassle people for window tint and stupid stuff.

 

When/why did you move?if we had one you should come down.this meet won't be limited to just z's it would be for all cars just some local peeps getting together.

 

I just re-read the post, and noted Monterey County, so you didn't necessarily mean Monterey or PG. I moved a long time ago when I was younger. I hopped from PG to Monterey to Modesto to San Jose to Fremont. I might come down depending on when/where. Post up some more detailed meet info.

I'm in, saw my pm. I'll let Gabe know, also have George my neighbor that might also. Need to make it in June... say second weekend - Sat 14th or Sun 16th okay that weekend. That would be good if there's interest. Also, I can meet with the locals and draft a few helpers with my annual Carmel Valley/Pebble Beach Run for Sept. I had 110 last year, seems grows bigger every year. Let's plan a meet and lunch gathering. Keep me posted "Datsun". I'll be on vacation after that.

 

How long ago was it, when you got the ticket? I drive there pretty much, have tinted windows, no front license plate, etc. Never been stopped (yet anyway). I go to Pebble Beach once in a while for lunch and always take the Carmel Valley drive to the back gate. One of the routes I use on the annual meets.

Monterey cops are asses when I had my 240 I always got busted for no plate,but if you have a real sports like the z I don't think they bother you.damn the meet had 110+ cars?were they all z's?well if it was a group of less than 10 we could eat at my job in Carmel. Its a hellava way to start your vacation

 

I'll have to get back to you guys. Need to check my schedule for that weekend. If you guys go for a short run. I would suggest the back roads towards the wineries off of River Road 1 hour drive and you'll end up by Soledad. No pot holes, just smooth with a little twist to it. However, I have always enjoyed cruising 17 mile drive in Pebble. Never get bored of that one.

 

I'm down, just need to know a time & place.

I was there and there were a lot of Zs including G35s, mebbe 5 NSXs, 2 RX8s, and a Sky. Warren made it all possible. So I'm looking forward to the next Monterey Meet this September. Should you start the list Warren?

 

Datsun and I both think Sat is the better day. So let's make it the 14th.
Now a time and a meeting place to start it, then maybe end up at Datsun job for a lunch or snack. If more then 10, we can sort of go in in two separate groups and just meet inside.

We have a little meet and talk there, then a nice little cruise to Carmel, a lunch, talk some more. Sounds like a plan. (Bring 2 ways, and can talk on the way. Not July 1st yet when the new law takes affect.

Yes we had 110 last year, Z's G's, NSX'S, 240'S, 280'S, 300ZX's, one big old 4 wheel drive p/u "high off of the ground", and some other cars.

Now that you finally got your 3M clear bra on the Z. Now it's time to drive the thing already and show off your CF.

 

I'm actually planning to get a feel, as to if the interest is still in it. I've done it now for I believe 4 years, Gabe been with me a least 2 or 3 of them helping out on the last couple. I will put out the feeler in July sometime on the NorCal Section. With Gabe's help last year, it all went well, he did a lot of assisting and planning with me, the whole meal thing was his great job.

 

You're right Gabe, we went out for a ride twice now. Got to get ready for the next step, CF done, 3MBra done, Wheels on, now the S/C is next. Got to contact GTM and make a plan.

 

nissan parking lot in seaside?next to jiffy lube?isn't that lot small?I don't think there's going to be more than 10 cars,sand city has some empty lots don't they?like where there's barely any cars like directly in front of starbucks or costco closer to mcdonalds?um...damn thisis harder than I thought, or 12th street off of the highway next to the newtarget that has plenty space?time I'm thinking is 12
