Default The Great Park Search...

So I have been doing a search for a good park in the Bay area for a BBQ. I have found a few possibilities, and at the last meet we talked about some options. Does anyone know of a good park? Maybe post an idea and or a pic. We are looking for a decent sized park with grills, and plenty of parking. This can be anywhere in the bay area, maybe after we put together a list we could all mvote on the best location. I will keep you all informed of the locations I find and try to get some pics.

yeah a few people were talking about the coyote park. I will have to check it out. We thought about a ride down to Santa Cruz and then a cookout there but it would be tough to get all the stuff in our little Z's

Is point Reyes to far away? There is a large picnic area at the visator center just off HWY 1.

Thanks for all your suggestions. I am still looking there are so many parks but hard to get one with decent parking, in the middle of the East Bay area with nice warm weather, and would be nice to be close to the ocean.... I should know something by this coming week and then we will set it up. Keep the suggestions coming. Thanks again...

Brickyard are you talking about the one that has a lake for the kayakers? The parking there is not that great, its kinda a steap incline, and no grills. There are quite a few in the Berkeley area, including Tilden Park which is great as well as nice drive around the mountain. Just trying to find a good central location. Was on vacation last week but I'm back so I will spend this week finding something.

The park in San Leandro is very promising, and was going to see if I could talk to the director. Worse case I could get there early and rope off a section for parking.
