Has anyone else heard about this? That's crazy to me that they would file for bankruptcy....

Yup!
The import industries have been talking about Greddy going out of business for the last six month, no one was too sure if it was 100% true.
But yesterday president of Greddy announced that it was 100% that they were going out of business.
Well, I guess one brother is out of business and the other is still standing strong which would be HKS.

20th thread on the topic and also 100% wrong. GReddy USA is fine - Trust (the Japanese company that owns them) is going into the equivalent of Chapter 11 reorganization and are not going out of business.
