Default 5000 horsepower tackle Mt Diablo...

Hey guys;

Today was one of those days that making working six days a week worthwhile. Perfect day, great group of guys and a twisty mountain road (even if I never got out of second gear).

I'll try not to duplicate Selski's pics. Here are a few of my favorites. We took control of the Fuddrucker's parking lot a little after noon. This was the most 350's I've seen at a single time:

Not content with the parking lot, we moved indoors for burgers and fries:

After a satisfying but artery clogging meal, Yuichi (blue shirt, back to the camera) tries to assume control of the Nor Cal group through a StrictlyZ recall ballot. Some of the Z owners weren't having it:

We decided to let Rohit (TubbsSF) lead the pack because, well....he had the biggest guns. He would come to be known as the Wingman as he would later take one for the team:

After negotiating some caravan busting city streets, we made it to the park and the start of the 3800 foot climb to the summit of Mt. Diablo. Unfortunately, TubbsSF was so busy watching for cyclists and keeping the flock in tow, he missed a stop sign and was pulled over by the East Bay Park Police. S.W.A.T. they're not.

After pretending we didn't know him while driving past the scene of the crime, we went a couple miles up the road and waited for our leader:

Two tickets later, we reach the summit. There we proceed to pose for pictures by parking and reparking and reparking.....

After awhile, we start to discuss pooling our resources to open an AM/PM franchise on the mountain as we become thirsty enough to drink our radiator coolant:

It was great seeing the old faces (Yuichi, zpilott and Donna) as well as meeting all the new folks. Tim - thanks for bringing the Saleen. Scott - sweet TT. LeMansCa (Dennis) - I'm good for the $4, I promise. zwindsor - thanks for not doing a Greg Biffle on me all the way up the mountain. TubbsSF (Rohit) - remember your wallet on the next run.

Hope to see all you guys again soon!

Tim- great narration to go along with great pics. Hope we can all do it again soon. And bonus points for the "Greg Biffle" reference

Thanks Jason - could have done the "Happy Harvick" too but he's such an easy target!

Tim: Terrific by-lines, great meet. Most Z's I've seen together too. Good to see a couple of guys from the Marin run again.

Greg Biffle who? He did it to Jeff Gordon again yesterday. Took him out on the first corner at the start of the race at Watkins Glen.

Sorry we lost a few of you at the turn off to the south side of the mountain. The south road was a little smoother. We (I) took a wrong turn at Blackhawk and missed the museum/plaza...sorry all.
