Default Does anyone have life time alignment?

I'm thinking about getting a Firestone lifetime wheel alignment, but I have modified suspension and wheels.
Does anyone in the bay area have this plan for a modified Z? If so, is it worth getting and which Firestone shop do you take your Z to?

I picked up the lifetime alignment package from a Firestone here in Sac. I picked it up on Black Friday for a deal i couldn't pass up. $119.

I have aftermarket 18's and its not a problem for them. As long as your suspension is not lowered past the point of being able to fit w/in factory specs (0.8" to 1") you should be fine as well.

If you are lowered past that point they'll probably try to sell you a camber kit or tell you to find one. In the mean time they'll set your alignment "as close as possible".

Yep, I have one on all our vehicles. I think it was around $140 at a local OKC Firestone. They charged me $50 more on the "Z" because it just barely fits over the lift - too close for their comfort, I guess.

Is it transferrable if you sell the car?

I don't think so. You just have to decide if you're going to keep the car long enough for it to be economical. Alignments are running around $65 for a 4 wheel align here.

Definitely a hit or miss kind of thing. I've had shops tell me they are not comfortable aligning the Z to my specs (for the track). The shop that I bought the plan from will align it the way I want, but only if 'Mike' was around because he's the only one with a brain. But, most shops will hook the car up the computer, punch in the OE alignment specs, and seem to let the machine do all the thinking.

Yea, I agree. I'm lucky because we have a Firestone guy in our local club - OKZCC. It helps to have a "Zed Head" in the house.
