Default 4th of July....

A fun 4th of July if you dnt have any plans

Meet at in&out by 11:00-11:30am drive to morgan hill for some bbq, watch the street shows, drive back to SJ, 3:00pm go home or visit family(break time), meet up at mercado 20 in santa clara by 6:30pm-7:00pm drive up to mt. hamilton to watch the fireworks.

bring cash to morgan hill.
4 mt.H. bring your favorite drink and snack(auto-picnic style)

Let me know what do you think, we still have time to change plans...

hey alex 4th of july falls on saturday right? I would if I didn't have plans unfortunately I'm going all the way past san francisco by tamales bay where you will find fresh oysters in the farm. I'll let you know if there's any changes but that's a great idea of yours.....

Alex, how crowded does Mt. Hamilton get? Sounds like a good idea to watch the fireworks from up there.

yeah is saturday, mtH its a good spot to watch the fireworks, few people will be there, lets see how many people whant to go, to fine tune the time....

**Saturday, July 4. Water activities at Milpitas Sports Center Pool from 1 to 5 p.m. with music, games, BBQ lunch. Concert beginning at 7:30pm at Milpitas Sports Center Milpitas Sports Center Football Field, followed by fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

San Jose:
**Saturday, July 4 and Sunday, July 5. Fireworks extravaganza following the conclusion of the San Jose Giants minor league baseball game each night. The festival and baseball game both take place at the San Jose Municipal Stadium. The San Jose America Festival which normally takes place at Discovery Meadow has been cancelled. It is expected to return in 2010.

I actually decided to run Mt. Hamilton spontaneously tonight afterall. Unfortunately it was crowded for the holliday so I had to drive very slow to avoid any possible pedestrians. I got half way up to Lick Observatory at the peak o Mt. Hamilton and I came across this:


So I turned around and headed to Calaveras, I was able to park for a bit at the peak of Calaveras Hills overlooking the bay, but a CHP rolled up and told everyone parked there to leave. It was funny there were a bunch of fire trucks blocking the usual spot under the trees, and one was chilling up by us before the CHP kicked us out.
