Default Car Accident..

Hey guys. First of all, me and my girlfriend are perfectly fine. I just got back from dropping my car off at the body shop with the tow truck. It was around 2 o'clock in the morning here in Stockton when me and my girlfriend were coming off I-5 onto March Lane heading home. I had a green light coming off the ramp so I was going around 20 mph to make a left turn when I suddenly see a black pickup truck going around 60-70 mph running a red light. I was able to notice it last minute so I sped up and swerved to the right as soon as I could so I wouldn't get hit. I heard the truck braking but it was already too late. I was able to avoid him but I ran straight into the median in the road. When I hit the median, my front left wheel went up into the median tearing up my front lip and curbing my rims and then hit the other side of the median on my right side and popped two of my tires and possible bent my rims. In the process, I probably cracked my radiator as well and broke my axles from what the police said. What was the worst part of this, the truck that ran the red light, they saw me crash into the median, and all I heard from them was them speeding off. I couldn't get their license plate because it happened so fast and there was no witnesses because it was late at night. All I remember it that it was probably dark ford f-150 or something close to that. Hopefully my insurance is going to pay for most of this. I'll post pictures when I can. I hope everything works out with all this. It could have been a lot worst and I'm truly grateful me and my girlfriend are fine. I hope everyone drives smart and safe. I'll keep everyone posted..

That sucks, glad to hear you & the GF are okay. I bet the mexicans in the truck were drunk. Just hope that there is no frame damage, all the other parts are replaceable.

Thank goodness nobody hurt, but as to getting the other vehicle, I doubt much if you'll have any luck. They're probably giving a hugh sigh of relief that they didn't get caught at this very moment. If you have full coverage as to insurance, no problem. I do believe $750.00 is the limit before it become reportable also. Good Luck on the repairs too.

Were there any business's around maybe gas stations etc? Sometimes they have camera's set up. Its a long shot but maybe worth the investigation. March Lane should have traffic camera's set up cops just didnt want to make the effort.

I guess I'm ending up paying for all the damage. The car is still under my parents and my dad said he doesn't want to put the damages under our insurance because our insurance will sky rocket like no other. Body shop says it's $5,000 in damages or $3,500 without buying new tires and fixing my old g35 rims. I'm going to just be rolling on my old stock rims for now. Good news is that I ordered an amuse front bumper and INGS n-spec sides. At least I get something new, but for a price. Here is a picture of the front lip torn up when I hit the median. I'll keep you guys updated.

At least the damage looks minimal, but like Jesse said, make sure you take it to a GOOD body shop for the inspection. It doesn't look like the impact bent your frame at all... maybe the sub-frame though... can't see. Suspension parts break easily though, especially the lower arms and such.

It's an authentic nismo front lip. Only the radiator cracked all the way and lower arms snapped. Getting in an accident & having no one to blame on it sucks..

Went to my body shop to check up on the car. Turns out that both of my front control arms were badly bent, especially the right one so they had to replace both of them. Also, my new amuse front bumper and INGS N-Spec sides came in as well. Ordered them from Auto Infantry, one of the vendors. Shipment was fast, like 2 days. Big props to them. Hopefully everything fits correctly and that there aren't any other problems with the alignment of the car. Body shop said they will have it done by next Friday so hopefully it turns out great.
