What % tint do you guys get pulled over for?
Just got two tickets for tint and they always put me for license plate while they are at it... So im curious what % you bay area people get pulled over for.

 

15%... got tired of getting pulled over for front license plate and tinted windows. Took them off and I have been happy since then.

 

Dont you miss it?! I just took my 5% off today and I miss it already! Im thinking of going 35%...

 

that only happens in sf I never have my front plate and cops just drive by

any %!!! last time a cop tried to give me a ticket for my factory tint. I know thats just an excuse for them to pull some one over. I guess just depends on the cop. lol

run whatever tint you want...........

wire in an inline switch hidden in your car........when you see a cop, roll them down.......if he proceeds to pull you over, flip the switch that kills power to your windows........

play dumb and pretend your windows have been acting up and you need to bang on the panel to make them roll up........act convincing and maybe you can get away with it....

I freaking miss it, sun annoyed me at first but got use to it now. We'll see what happen this summer tho..

 

I dont tint windows on modified cars.

 

thats like leave the door/gate open to your mansion house if your a famous celebrity

 

first time 20%, then 5%. Keep being pulled over and being sign off by my friend. Not always pulled over for tint, but once you stopped, cop will ticket you for something.

 

What location did you get stopped at? I know a few friends that got tickets for no front plate and tint on San Bruno Ave in the Portola neighborhood. I heard they are cracking down.

 

Just removed mine couple weeks ago. Had fix it ticket. I have 20% tint on mine. If i were to do it again, i would go with 35%. Tinting your windows too dark will give you more trouble than just tint ticket. I got pulled over for tint and end up with some other tickets not just for tint. I would recommend 35% and nothing darker.

 

Im thinking of 35% now, what do you guys think

 

haha sucks for you West Coast peeps... In East Coast, we have a think called "tint waiver"... limo tint all around FTW!
