unfortunately, he couldnt get slicks in time, so he'll be out in the boxster.

doug keeps saying 75 degrees...I HOPE! that would be the perfect trackday, i hate 90+ days.

also, i somehow ended up with five gopros for this weekend, lol. with one going to scott. so if you have an extra gopro suction mount lying around, bring it and feel free to ask me for a camera to borrow

fun day

nice to meet you, Brian!

Scott, good driving!

I still need way more seat time but by the end of the day I stopped driving like a little bi*ch and started actually getting on the throttle some

sucks about the GTR that exploded and caught fire..

also, getting a ride in the c6 z06 on slicks pretty much made my day, 140mph on the front straight =

ive been up for 32 hours straight so I think im gonna go pass out until tomorrow.

post up videos guys!

It was a great day for sure; good to see you guys out there. Though I missed the first session of the day getting prepped, I still squeezed in 165 miles on the track, or about 55 laps. This was my first return to T-hill on street tires in many years, so it was a bit different but still fun. I did have the hoosiers with me, but didn't see the need to change to them, as it was still fun to play with those P-cars while on the RS3s. I do have some vids and lap time/g-force data to sort through. I'll get that posted up soon.

165?!
I did 80 lol

I ended up running decent after getting a ride in Brians brothers car. I ran 4 seconds faster then my fastest time after rolling with him. I feel like I'm faster over the hill then bypass lol.

were you on 100 octane or 91 octane?

my friend said he recorded a 2:07 or 2:08 from you so you were still moving yesterday.

my oil ended up not passing the 240 mark when I started going faster. Im thinking of getting a water temp gauge and throwing that next to my oil temp in the cubby after you told me it just shoots up when it gets too hot.

Yup, 165 miles on track missing a session. I would have had more had I not run down to E in the last open session (track was wide open to all groups from 4-5). I think it's a no-brainer to do the 7 session deal versus the 5, but it seemed a lot of people only did the 5 because there was NO traffic after 3pm on the track.

Honestly, I don't think "beginners" should ever time themselves. When I started out, no one was timing their times, but now with iPhone apps, etc., it's easy. I do time myself most of the time now though since my car is fitted for the equipment. I was still a few seconds - about 5 - faster on the Hoosiers than the RS3s.

Scott; how many events have you done on your RS3s and how many street miles (if any?) and how are they looking? I'm trying to get a feel of how many events they last.

I have 11 or 12, 20-25 minute sessions on them as well as a few autox runs and maybe 1500 street miles. They are still new-feeling. It's unknown to me how their grip falls off as the tread is reduced and they age. That is an important factor.

oh wow I have about 5 full sessions about like 2k street miles, you drive WAYYY harder then me so mine should still be good for a while, atleast.

good to know that they still are as grippy with that much abuse. I saw cars at the autox that looked like they were just above the wear bar and still doing fine so id assume it doesnt loose too much girp.

CCW Bypass configuration."

I'm curious to know how long they keep their stick as well. I have all my events documented, so we'll see.
