amazon has gopros for like $150

 

The GoPro HD Motorsports HERO isn't $150. Hard to find it under $240 shipped

not trying to argue since its my personal preference. I have a buddy that races spec miatas and is into the whole camera thing and all that good stuff, he had a gopro, said the wind noise was terrible, he also says his contour is way easier to use for n00bs (like me) and its $100+ cheaper

he said with the contour you can actually hear SM car and not just rasp and random stuff like the gopro.

 

I have this date down in pencil on my calendar. I'd do the 7 sessions for sure. Friday off is easier to swing than a Wednesday off, hence my absence on 9/7.

 

Well, I bought a Contour Roam....I'll let you know what I think of it.

 

the 7th was fun even though I didnt have my car I got to see what a stock G37x on star specs and a good driver and a bolt on volvo 850 on RS2s with a good driver could do, the volvo was on $15 autozone pads and SOMEHOW they didn't fade once

I dont like beating on my Z so much, thinking of buying something to build into a track car, 4ishK for the car to start off on, any ideas?

Id like to do spec miata but im too big, spec E30, not really into it..maybe some sort of HC type build?

any input would be cool..

A dedicated track car is an expensive, big, headache (IMO). Just drive what you got for a few years is my advice. Roll in on RS3s, drive all day, drive home. Done.

Not sure. I think I usually go into their "mixed" class, but it also depends on how many run groups they have. If they only have 3, I'll go in advanced "A". If it's four, I go in mixed.

I'll probably go in upper novice at Sears since I've never driven that course and the mixed guys are pretty fast with relatively open passing.
