Norcal Track Days
What a great day! No rain until a light sprinkle during my last run group. Only 135 track miles today, but I can't complain. It was my first time driving Sears, and I have to admit - I'm hooked! Can't wait to come back again. . . Vid and pics coming soon.
Sorry I missed you! We were in the garages. Did you see my z out there? Not only the Porsche, but I saw a Lotus leave on the stretcher, and a totaled Miata that went ***-end into T9 was DONE. Sears is great, but it CAN BITE YOU.

What were everyone's lap times? I couldn't get the VBOX from work so timed from my video, and I was running 1:58 and 1:59s laps my entire fourth session. Left after that because I saw my tires were corded
Video up soon.
Anyway what a GREAT track! That was my first track day at Infineon and definitely going back. It was well run and there were some awesome cars there. Nice to meet everyone, too

ouch, yeah I saw you on the track but didnt see you guys, probably cause I was walking around and watching the AUTOX a lot...I did meet ross today, though. I timed you a couple times, the best I timed was like a 2:02 in the second? session on like the 3rd lap.

Youtube has been being a butt with my videos. It did this same thing with my t-hill vids; it uploads about 1/2 of it, then stops. I have one of those "upgraded" accounts which allows longer vids and the ability to stop the upload then continue it, but it doesn't seem to work for me. Maybe I'll trim them down and make a few vids. I have two, 40-minute, sessions on vid from Sears, so I'll certainly have to trim those down anyway.
just received this EMAIL from NCRC.
"Dear Drivers,
We have decided to change the logistics of this event. Currently it is listed as “no-rain, guaranteed”, and you signed up under that policy. We are changing the event to a “regular” event, which is a “rain or shine” event. Those of you that have already registered and paid by 12:20 pm on Monday Nov 21 (i.e. if you’re on this distribution list, that’s you), will still be given the prior guarantee that if the Accuweather forecast (http://www.accuweather.com/en/us/wil...p/332003?day=1) shows any precipitation 24 hours before the event, you do not need to attend and will be given a full refund.
BUT, the event will happen anyway, regardless of rain. So those folks registering from this point forward will not be under the same rain guarantee as you.
The reason we’re doing this is that in reality there is quite a likelihood that the forecast will say “10% chance of rain”, people will come, and there will be little or no rain at the track. Managing the balance between those wanting to drive even with a possibility of a shower versus the “guarantee no rain” folks has been a bit problematic, so we’re opting to convert the date to a “regular” NCRC event.
As someone registered before this change, you do not need to do anything specific at this time. As agreed previously, we will check the weather before the event and if it says rain, you may simply decide not to show (and get a refund or credit) or to show up anyway to drive. Of course if you do come to the event, we will keep the payment.
Thanks,
Dave & Luc"

YesSir! ! ! It'll be on the road soon - maybe in time for 12/16 at Laguna!
I had ton of fun with PCA yesterday at Laguna Seca. Beautiful sunny warm day! I ran advanced group with mostly race cars in my street car. Small run group of about 12 to 15 cars. Man I felt rusty on the track as I haven't been on Laguana for almost 3 years. My line through corkscrew sucked.
I was having a bit of an issue with rear brake bias into t2 and t7. With no abs locking up rear at speed can be exciting. I pushed a little hard into t7 one session locked up rears at speed, saved it when it swung to the right which pointed me down corkscrew but couldn't hold the counter swing and spun on track. Oops. Later in the day I was seeing how deep I coul go into t2 and found out and dipped my front two tires into gravel as I came to sliding stop. Lol!
Also found fuel level where dreaded fuel starve kicks in at Laguna. About 6 gallons from full. Turn 4 was causing issue. I'd make it out of the turn it cut out half way down straight until I would get to t5 then come back on.
Aside from those little issues the car worked beautifully. I was hanging well with faster cars in the turns. Turned a bunch of low 1:44s but wasn't comfotable going any faster with brake issue. Funny thing my fastest lap was fuel starve lap.
Not bad for a street car that weighs 3500 lbs with me at the wheel.
