For anyone curious about Maxxis RC1 vs Hankook RS3, here's some data from this weekend at Laguna:

So basically a full second faster, I wonder if you can get time with wider wheels, both of those tires can really use a wider wheel

 

Yes and yes.

 

One of the reasons I got 11" wheels over 10 or 10.5" wheels, everyone tells me a little stretch on race tires helps.

 

Sucked it up and bought a set of 11s, BUT, used a set of take-off BFGs on them and ran a few 1:42s:
