Talking I finally got it!!!!

Just picked up my brand new 2004.5 Performance DB 350Z!! Stick shift, aero package, mats, kick plates, splash guards and cargo packages. Got it weds, and have already fallen in love! What an amazing car! And the DB is soo beautiful. Already turning a lot of heads (that is fun! no one ever noticed my old ford escort.....ha! lol). Got it home and took the wife up hwy 9 out of Saratoga, then up skyline to 84 down through woodside and back onto 280. What an amazing ride! Just took whatever the turn speed limit sign said and doubled it! The handling is amazing.

Anyway, had some drama actually finding the Z in stock. The Z I was supposed to get from Capital Nissan didn't materialize because the Pheonix dealer came back to us after 4 days of saying we could have it (reroute off the boat) and told us it was already sold! They couldn't find any other DB Z's in stock anywhere that were willing to trade. I ended up calling Concord Nissan to see about an Enth DB Z they had in stock only to find it was sold, but they did a search an found a Performance DB Z in stock with a dealer that was willing to trade! They seem to have a better network than Capital. Had to pay MSRP (about 32K), plus about 3K in tax, registration, etc. But it was worth it!

So I'll be seeing you guys soon!

500 miles already! Course I got it with 220 already on it (they had to drive it over from another dealer), and being 60 miles from Concord helps. And I've been having lots of fun giving friends rides (twist my arm! ). Yesterday I was riding with my wife and had to do a U-turn, so I turned off VDC, and kinda goosed it in the turn and fishtailed it nicely! Wife wasn't as impressed. Did I mention I love this car?

Only found one thing wrong with it. The dealer that had it originally put the front license plate holder on and when I got home and took it off, to my horror, not only were there two hole for the screws, there was one huge (1in x 0.25in) gash in the paint down to the metal! I almost Plus there were two smaller circular gashes were they screwed the license plate frame on too tightly! Well, the Concord dealer was cool about it and they're gonna fix it, probably gonna have to bring it into a body shop.

Other than that the car is perfect. And I can't wait to open it up!

I had the same thing on mine and I got my Z before I knew about Z boards. Well not only was I surprised by drilled holes, but also by the gouges made by screws that were too long for the plate holder. After much complaining, got the gouges fixed but not the holes. Is Concord going to take care of your drilled holes while fixing the gouges?

I hope so! They better fix the holes too. They have to have an auto body guy come in to fix the gouges and respray, so I don't see why they can't bondo the holes at the same time (that's what the service guy said too). Taking it in tomorrow, so we'll see! Maybe I should get the alignment checked while I'm in?

Guess what? I'm at 920 miles this morning! Had a nice long Sunday drive through Monterey wine country (Carmel Valley road). Great Z road, wide with lots of twisties and nobody on it.
