Default Just wondering is gas gas?

I use safeway gas in my commuter. It works well. But for my Z I usually use 91 from chevron or 76. Tell you the truth, I don't know why I pic chevron or 76. I just like them from the past. Next to that, chevron has those talking cars in their comercials. hee hee hee

What are your opinions on using other brands of 91? Do you feel a difference or is it just preference?

thanks
d.

I'm like you, I stick with preference although different gas stations have their own additive blends (the subtle differentiating factor).

Hmm... I've never seen a Safeway gas station before....

I'm used to running Sunoco Ultra 94 octane. My car ran great on that stuff. Plenty of power and performance. Welcome to California where the highest octane is 91??? WTF! I notice no difference between 87-91 octane out here. It all sucks as far as i'm concerned.

"Toulene" article on "Rocket Fuel", great article they spell it toluene in places in the article. was in repair or race thread last week. It referres to Chevron 92 octane so it older . but it mentions Cal's 91 so not that old hope you can find it.If you can't i printed it ,but have no idea of how to get it onto this thing i'm using to send this massage on . "O" computer that it.

Whatever is cheapest. Since I've got a supercharger on mine, and it runs fine, it must not really matter much about the brand.

I believe discount stations buy their gas from the same sources as Chevron/Shell/etc. It's just that those stations don't have to pay franchise fees to the parent company for the right to sell branded gasoline.

I'm guessing most gas in the bay area comes from Valero, since the refinery is so close.
