Default Getting oil change at Furture NISSAN..should I be careful with mods?

Sup guys, I have to get a key made from the dealer b/c one of them is not prorgrammed. I figured while I am there I will have them do the first oil change.

Should I be worried about my popcharger? It's not a big deal, but should I switch it out for the stock airbox before I go?

Will they void the warranty? Anyone have experience with Future NISSAN?

I think it depends on the dealership. SOme will try to mess with u and tell u that ur warranty is void. Others will tell u that they wont touch the car unless u put it back to stock. WHen i would take my car to the dealership i would remove my AEM CIA( only mod i had back then) just to be on the safe side.

Future Nissan and all other sacto Nissan dealerships are idiots. Do the oil change yourself.

I am sorta obligated to go there, b/c I have to get a key made. For the first oil change I'll let em do it

Steve, sorry I didn't call you--my class schedule was extremely busy...i assume your not in stockton now.

Let me know if you're in town again tough.

They can say whatever they want, but the magnuson-moss act will protect you from them cancelling your warranty without valid reason.

They don't have to open the hood to make you a key.

Truth is, nobody can answer that question but the service writter. I worked at a dealership, if they are a-holes then they will bring it up but almost 99% of them dont care if you do mods and come in for a oil change. If you were going in for a warranty issue then maybe but they really have no reason to bring up your warranty for a oil change.

Dealerships make money off of warranty issues from Nissan Corporation so they honestly like warranty issues, only real problem would be if the needed to send a pic to Nissan Corp. to justify a warranty problem on the spot and you had mods in the pic. So things like cams and such if they had to pull the motor would be a issue.

Oil change should be safe.
