It was fun last year when I went! Next to that, there arn't walls for me to be scared like the altamont. Not bad for $120 bucks.

yea to do all of it its $120 for the whole day, but if you want to be a spectator its only $10.. i will be entering also.but availibility is only limited to 40 cars to participate from what i have heard from Donald last time. and from Frank @ Racetune.
Is this the event on the 7th? Would this be labeled more of a learning event, or is this like a show off event? some of the advertisements look like it's a competition or someting......I like the part about testing the handling of your vehicle.
In the beginning of the year, the track was split in half and had two things going on at the skid pad. circles around a cone and a j-turn. Turn 9 through 11 was for drift (if I remember correctly). It was strickly practice. No time trials.
For Jan 15, 2005, I am not sure.
You would have to e-mail don for the current layout. But if I get the info, I will share.

I wasnt give too much info when I designed the flyer, the course will loop back toward the paddock where the blue line fades off.
The event is open for anyone, all skills invited. If you want to take part in just the grip section feel free, but of you bring a set of extra rear tires, you'll have a lot of fun on the drift section. There will also be a parkinglot sized drift section near the paddock for slow speed drift/car control, for those not ready to take the 60-80mph drifts on the big course.

Last time I went, it really wasn't much fun with the drift event. It was really poorly organized, and there was hardly any instruction for drift newbies (like me). Plus for me, the wear and tear of drifting around a dry paddock is too costly with a 35k car. I'd only go again if I had a cheap 240 or something to rag on.
Spf4000 I know what you mean. Last year did suck. But man things change. It was a great event I ever went to. Paddock drifting had a mini course and many instructors. The track drifting was so fun. You follow everyone in your group and you get to slide everywhere non stop unless someone spins out or goes out of track.
Then at the end of the day they had an open track for a quick qrip session. I got to run the whole track. By the way, there was another 350z I seen, I gave him the wave to pass me after turn 11. I was going slow.
