So I finally got off my lazy ****, again, and installed the head unit sans power.
In the front of our plenum there is a pressure nipple that is on the passanger side. Remove that, slip a hose clamp on your hose for the pressure sensor, tighten it down.
If you still have your engine cover remove it. If you dont use the stud on passanger side and tighten down. Run the wire through the battery box and bulk head the same way as running the AF guage wire. run the wire under the dash and up through the radio pannel into the back of the glove box. Run it through the back hole, on the left in the glove box. Run the power and signal wire throught the hole on the right and out the left side of the console section.
Tomorrow I will wire for power and hook up the guage. The same way as I did the AF guage. Getting the 12v constant from console harness, 12 ignition trying from the radio. Thats if I can get that dam panel off thats arround the radia. REALLY A PAIN IN THE a$$...
so here is a few pics of what I did

Well I got my innovate A/F gauge...LC-1, DEFI BOOST and EGT gauges today....The innovate gauge has 7 extra wires...still not sure if I need to hook all of them up or not.....apparently its ready for external data inputs....hmmm yea.....since I have none right now....LOL...so I need to see what I need.... The Boost gauge seems simple enough just thinking of a place to Tap..the instructions say all kinds of crazy crap like install between the FPR and something else but ive heard of people just using a direct line after the MAP sensor....and the EGT is cut and dry also....
I need to find power sources......12v when u turn on your light....12v when the car is on (IGN) and 12v constant......
what did you use for power????
I also have a Autometer 3 POD A.....that arrives next week so I got a week to plan all the wire running before I install

The pressure throughout the plenum is roughly the same (especialy under boost conditions). Since I'm using that port I need to make a bracket to hold all 3 of my boost sensors. Boost controler, boost sensor for auto tune, and the defi boost.
Did you get the D-series guages or link system ones?
Use the guage cluster to tap most of your power. The red wire is 12V constant, some where under there is the light on 12V power (I'll help with looking it up), and I had to tap the Acc power from the ECU guage. There should be one in the power pannel by drivers left foot. Couldn't find it though.
Are you doing the sand and bond route or the screw route for the pillar? The sand and bond leaves a much cleaner look, no screws sticking out.
The wires are easy to run under the dash or through the molding of the steering colum. To fish the wires through you may want to use the wire loop I did. It was real easy, just pull it through to the A-pillar then pull it back to the steering opening. If you need, help PM me; I can give you more details.

Also looking at getting the AVIC D1. Yeah I know, vearing from the path of power alittle. But DAM!!! Its awsome, touch scree, in dash Navi (no seperate GPS receiver), rear camera feed for reverse camera. You can accualy view it wile driving normal with a split screen option. Pluss much much more.
My question is how would it know the diffrence if the camera is mounted front or rear? Hint Hint. Still deciding wheather to wait till Jan or get it 1 Nov. Also gonna order the Koyo v-series racing radiator 1 Nov as well.
Also has on board dynamics display too. lateral-G's, acceleration, and a bunch more.... Yeah thats how I can justify it, its a vehicle diagnostic guage that has a touch screen, navi, camera, plays any audio format, and fits in my current cd player double din spot. See its a dounle din guage cluster, yeah thats it

I actualy considered them but I like the full size double din one's. The only other one I was considering was the Eclipse AVN5495.

Gonna be a hard decission but I'm looking hard.

FYI
If you haven't done so already...and if you're going to use it...you might want to check if the Nav. system has Hawaii's map loaded onto it. A lot of the Nav systems don't have Hawaii's map (which is why the nav system is not an option on any Z's sold here).
Just giving you my 2 cents...

The D1 has Hawaii and Alaska and the Eclipse you have to get the CD. Pain in the **** though. Doing research on which ones have what maps available. In the process of contacting Eclipse with the map question. The loaded map on the system has continental but I think the map on the cd has HI and AK.
well got the BOOST...... (A/F) and the EGT wired up....but the Pillar will not align correctly........not sure if i should take it off and gring some plactic inside to allow for more wire room....

Did you try cutting a channel in the back? I have had no fitment issues.
Try that and see what you get.
My stuff from forged internals is comming on the 8th. I should then have every thing to hook up the auto tune. My boost controller is on back order. The NKG plugs came in. Hopefuly the fuel pump comes with the next shipment then I can get the fuel system done.

Just bought the AVIC D1 in dash navigation system. A little set back but now I don't have to bring my lap top with mapquest saved files. Gonna hook a reverse camera up under the plate so I can see my parking, and split screen road while in motion (still legal). So it should be here in a few days. While I'm down there I'm gonna hook up the speed wire to my e manage. So its back to the books.

Today I got in all the harnesses for the auto tune, Greddy type RS BOV, greddy turbo timer and fuel pump. Wouldn't you know it it came in just before I had an unscheduled business trip. I got a large package comming in via UPS for the 8th and I won't be here
. The only things I still have out are the Safeguard unit, the twins, and a credit for the blitz boost controller.
