I have this particular alarm system with a few upgraded securities not included with the original kit and I must say, it is one of the best systems I have owned. A few recommendations I might make if you decide to go with this particular alarm system is, be sure to inform the installer where you want the main control module to be located so that you can easily make adjustments to the "sensitivity" of the alarm if so desired, it will take some time, but by trial and error you will eliminate alot of false alarms which can be a headache. If you have a standard Z33, you might want to consider not getting the remote start and disabling that function altogether. Reason being, if you leave the car in gear and start it via remote, your going to have problems. Wall vs. Car is not a scenario you want to test, believe me on this, I know from previous experience. I also dig the sensors that come with the kit, which are very accurate. I can roll the windows down/let the top down, arm the alarm and as soon as you stick your hand through into the car, the alarm will activate and send a page, very beneficial. Also consider getting a backup battery just for the alarm itself, for obvious reasons... $189 is a hell of a deal... And is by far the lowest price that I have seen posted. If you feel comfortable with this, I would definitely snag it up... You wont be dissapointed. Let me know if you have any questions bro, I will be happy to help.

oh you know what, i didn't even think about it but thats the system I had on my old car. I liked the system and thought it worked well but I did have 2 complaints. The battery on the remote died a lot faster then I expected. And the little antenna on the remote broke off in my pocket pretty easily, the remote still worked after but the range was terrible so I had to replace it. For comparison I am pretty hard on stuff I keep in my pockets everyday. I've had the same problem with a number of old nokia cell phones. Now i stick to the theory of not having car remotes or cell phones with antenna's that stick out.

yeah seriously with my old car i used to have to carry a extra pack of batteries in the glove box cuz it would die while i was out and i could unlock the car with the key (altho the alarm would go off) but i needed a battery to disable it to get past the ignition kill on the alarm)

there's a new system out called the 5901 which has a little more features with the 2 way remote. Just FYI Viper products carry a LIMITED LIFETIME warranty when purchased AND install at a local AUTHORIZED dealer which is a pretty much a no hassle only pay shipping fee. If this item is purchased over the net authorized dealers have no obligation of granting a warranty on a product purchased online EVEN IF it is a viper piece. This is to make sure small business owners have the security of directed electronics taking the side of the little guys. Just to let you in on the retail price that's usually INSTALLED price so you end up paying the same or maybe save like 50 bucks by not getting it from a local dealer and like I said you'll get screwed with the product warranty. PM for any other questions

on another note the 5900's are now a discontinued piece because of the release of the 5901 which also come with 2 remotes rather than just one like the 5900
