Default Digital camera for daughter - any ideas??

Hey All,
I'm looking for a point and shoot digital camera for my 15 year old daughter - - I'm leaning towards the Nikon Coolpix® 3200($179 at circuit city). I want to stay in the $200 range.

Any thoughts or comparisons will be appreciated - thanks

Steve

Look at the Canon Powershot A75. My wife has an A70 and I have an A80 (both discontinued) Great little Camera's. I almost bought Nikons, but upon reading the reviews, I chose Canon.

Ditto- the Canon A80 is great.
I must have read the same reviews prior to purchase.

Thanks - - the A75 seems pretty comparable to the 3200 from what I can find so far, I'm not finding anything that would make me pick one over the other (reviews you mentioned)

I have the A70, too. I love it. Very easy to use. I just wish it was a bit smaller.

Bought the Canon A75 at Circuit City for $170 - - I found it at WalMart for $172, so Circuit City beat the price by 110% - thus the $170 price (their current price is $199) -

Good deal - - thanks again,

Steve

I have the Coolpix 3200 and 4300, and I actually like the 3200 much better. It has lower resolution, but it's smaller and more ergonomic.

My only complaint is that there's no button to turn off the flash. You have to use the little on-screen menu. I usually just cover the flash with my finger since it's easier.
